- Savoca - Savoca, a small village in the province of Messina. You can visit the catacombs, the calves bar where “The Godfather” the successful film by Francis Ford Coppola was filmed in 1972.
- Castelmola - The last stop is Castelmola, a village famous for its typical almond wine.
- Taormina - Taormina: located over 200 meters above sea level, Taormina offers an incredible view of the sea and the Etna volcano. The main road that crosses Taormina and Corso Umberto, on the sides of the course you will find luxury boutiques, jewelers, clothing stores, souvenir shops and refined bars and restaurants. The most famous monument is the Greek theater dating back to the 3rd century BC, still well reserved today.

Picturesque sights of Messina and Taormina - Santino was amazing. He was not pushy when selling us the trip. He sang amazing as we drove. He took us to the most picturesque places . We felt like good friends when the trip was over.
Thank you Santino you wet our appetite to come back and stay for a week.

Godfather film locations in Savoca - Driving up to the Church were Michael Corleone got married at the top of the hill on a motorcycle that held 5 people. Also going to Bar Vittele where Michael met his future bride’s father.

Amazing Tour with Santino!! - Amazing tour in the company of Santino!
It was heartwarming how he treated my family as his own. Santino was so helpful with my aunt that was in an electrical scooter.
The tour was FANTASTIC! So many beautiful views, restaurants and people.
A tour with Santino is a MUST, if you ever come to Sicily!

Tour Messina with Santino - 6 women on holiday for one day in Sicily. We met Santino at Port and spent the day with him. Friendly and polite, he spoke about all interests of ours, Messina's history, culture, buildings and people. Then we moved on to Savoca, the "Godfather"town and introduced us to an artist in ironworks and others natural items. Santino was a fun guide all day. Best of all, he got us to the beautiful Taormina beach. Santino is wonderful.

Messina Trip - The scenery was breathtaking!! Buying fresh hot bread snd cheese in Savoca and eating in the van on our way to Taormia! Make time for the Greek theater there is a line and have to buy tickets for admission. Tour guy Joseph saved the day by turning our van around as we were heading for our ship as one of the girls left her wallet at a café!! wallet was recovered, and we made it to a Port on time!! Brush up on your Italian, as we had a little bit of a language barrier. The complementary dessert at the end was delicious.!!!

Poor Communication - Although John Franco was a very friendly guy, he spoke little English so communication was difficult. Please be aware this is only transportation from port to 3 stops. That is all. In addition, we were taken to his friend’s restaurant at the end of the tour and forced to buy 150 euros of food that we did NOT order, even after we told John Franco several times that we did NOT want to eat. I would not recommend this tour.
