Convenient, Dependable, Efficient. - A very much needed and very convenient way to get to the many very beautiful places in Sintra. This is a must do if you do not have your own transport and not many days in Sintra.

Don't use this bus - Too bad, there are no buses they say they have, it takes more than an hour and is always full. It didn't stop for tourists at Quinta da Regaleira. Badly educated. Don't buy this ticket, use Bolt or public bus.

WASTE OF TIME. DO NOT BOOK - Give this a miss - Hop on hop off, more hop on and stand an wait …… it took over 40 minutes to get from Sintra Station to Pena Palace on a crowded bus that didn’t leave at advertised time until it was crammed full. In fact it took so long to do one circular tour (434) - we never even had time to do the other (435) Better off finding another way or just paying a single fare. WASTE OF TIME

Crappy service, cash grab, avoid at all costs - If I could also give this a zero I would. All the previous reviews are correct in this being a tourist trap and crappy service. We ended up walking between at least 2 sites as 434 buses were constantly full. The bus schedule was not at all accurate, with us having to wait sometimes 30-40 min per bus. The 435 line bus is basically the hunger games on wheels. It only seats 19, there was no bus rep so people just pushed and shoved to get on. Avoid!!! Avoid!!! AVOID!!!

Big scam - 13 euros 50 per person. The first bus (taken from the station) took us to the first stop. We then spent our time waiting for buses which did not pass, or did not stop because they were too busy. We had to do everything else on foot with the children on our backs. There were a lot of us tourists in this situation... to flee!

Would 100% Avoid - Waited at a bus stop for 40 minutes only to finally see our bus drive by without stopping. Signage showed we were in the right place, and the staff at the visitor center confirmed it. Ended up paying 9 Euros to an Uber to get us to the castle we had tickets for. When that castle closed we walked to the bus stop at 6pm since the brochure said the last bus runs at 6:30…looked at the sign there and if says the last pick up there is 5:15. That was not stated anywhere else, no times were given previously or other stops. Hopped on a random bus since we didn’t have phone service to find another option, so we then spent an hour on a bus getting motion sick as we had to go out of the way 45 minutes. So disappointed we went this route and weren’t served as promised.

They rob you on line 434 to Castillo da Pena - Disastrous experience on the Pena Palace bus line 434, they have deceived us in our face with the tickets, the bus driver, I asked him for 4 round trip tickets to the palace and he sold me 4 24 hour passes, the difference The thing is that a single ticket is €4.10, there is no round trip ticket. They sell you a 24-hour pass that costs €13.50 without informing you, you realize it inside the bus, you inform the driver of the error and it doesn't matter, they do nothing to solve it, they lie to your face saying that they informed you, they send you to the bus office. company at the train station, when you go to the office they tell you with all their might that a round trip ticket is a 24 hour pass, I answer that if they think we are stupid, if they don't exist they don't exist, but fool the people with another product, I have come to think that the driver works on commission of the deceptions they make. A very unfortunate experience that ruins your day, not because of the €22 they steal from you, but because of the way they laugh in your face and the helplessness it generates in you.

Tourist trap and employees peddle tickets. - This is a tourist trap. As soon as u get off the train they r located outside the train station. Withh all the confusion and people u think u need to get on the bus but you don't . Walk a block away and you will find public transport. The employees are rude just peddling tickets. Expensive and a tourist trap. No set time. Green route does not run all the time.

Shameful and awful - Absolutely avoid. The most beautiful scam I have encountered despite my numerous trips around the world. How can a town hall allow such a situation to persist, giving such a bad image to its city and its country? Unless she too is part of this disastrous organization that is ruining your day.

Everything is bad - If I could give a rating below zero, I would give it that. Very bad. Everything is bad. As for tickets, the only ones that we were told could be purchased were those for 12.50 which include the 434 and 435 route (otherwise around 4 euros for one stage, around 7 euros for the return trip). The 434 stops at Castello dos muros, Palacio de la Pena and the historic centre, the 435 makes another tour which includes Quinta de Regaleira (Quinta Regaleira can easily be reached on foot in 10 minutes from the historic centre; Palacio de La Pena can be reached in walk from Castello dos muros, but it is slightly uphill). The 435 is a legend: everyone has heard of it, no one has ever seen it! The worst thing was turning to assistance, a grumpy girl who spoke to us in English and Portuguese to her colleague thinking she wasn't understood, and to the complaints about the fact that we had bought 25 euros worth of tickets but had only used them once once because the bus hadn't passed, he replied "you made the wrong stop". Now, although I'm a foreign country, as far as possible, don't understand everything 100%, but if you allow me, "at least" I can read the numbers! Highly not recommended!
