- Palazzo Maria Callas - Nestled among the ancient trees of via Catullo in the heart of Sirmione’s peninsula, you’ll find a stunning yellow villa that once belonged to Maria Callas, the first superstar of the opera world. She spent much of the 1950s at this villa, owned by her husband, the affluent businessman Giovan Battista Meneghini. Our skipper will share stories about the villa and its owners.
- Rocca di Manerba del Garda - On the lake’s western shore, you’ll encounter the ruins of Rocca di Manerba, a captivating fortress enveloped by a natural reserve.
- Grotte di Catullo - You’ll view the archaeological park from the outside. Located within a sprawling olive grove, the remains of a grand Roman villa, known for centuries as the “grotte di Catullo,” sit at the far end of the Sirmione peninsula. It stands as the most significant example of an upscale residence in all of northern Italy.
- Salo - Surrounded by scenic views, you’ll have the chance to take a dip before heading towards Salò, where you’ll explore the historic center on foot during a one-hour stop.
- Gardone Riviera - The tour proceeds to Gardone, where you’ll enjoy a glass of Prosecco and appetizers. You’ll see the San Marco Tower, and on the return to Sirmione along its eastern shore, you’ll glimpse the Boiola sulfur spring.
- Castello Scaligero - Before concluding the trip by entering the walls of Scaliger Castle, you’ll pass under the drawbridge, the only pedestrian access to the peninsula.
