Embark on a memorable 3-hour group tour, capped at 15 participants, of a stunning branch of the Vatnajökull glacier, perfect for families. A certified glacier guide will equip you with crampons and ice axes, providing necessary instructions for their use before you step onto the icy surface. On your journey, gain insights into the glacier’s characteristics and history, as your guide expertly navigates through a mesmerizing landscape of deep crevasses, slender ridges, and frozen sculptures. Its proximity allows you to spend two full hours exploring the glacier. This easily manageable glacier walk doesn’t require any prior experience.

- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Please bring warm clothing, rain gear, gloves, and hiking boots

Excellent guide + Magical scenery - The tour fulfilled my long time wish to see blue ice. The scenery was magical & out of this world. Icing on the cake is excellent guide Emelia who is caring, competent & totally has participans’ interest at heart. She is also witty & friendly, always ready to render extra help to seniors like me. Too bad I didn’t have cash on me to tip her generously.

A truly great experience! Combination of enthusiastic guide Soffia and amazing natural environment. Top recommendation! - Soffia took us as high as possible on the glacier to experience the natural wonder of as well as true tranquility! It was also very well organised. We actually went so high that we met Jesus (A.K.A tourguide Mark).
The only thing that could’ve possible improved this experience was a chilled bottle of prosecco at the top ;)

Great experience with great guide! - We had an amazing trip. Our tour guide was Agust Atli Atlason and he was great: knowledgeable, funny and had a lot of positive energy. The tour was very good in terms of content, yet manageable for mountaineers without any experience. Would very much recommend this tour!

A must do experience! - WOW! What an amazing experience - it exceeded my expectations. It was so beautiful and so special to get an up close view of the blue glaciers. Our tour guide Brooke was great. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and his experience in the terrain put me at ease and allowed me to better enjoy the experience.

Blue Ice experience - Great experience! Easy to do.
After a 10 minutes drive with a 4x4 van, and a 15 minute walk it’s time to put on the spikes and you’re ready to enjoy the blue magic…

Fun fact-filled hike up the largest glacier in Europe! - Brilliant trip led by Agust as part of our honeymoon. The glacier was stunning and the walk was over far too soon. Agust was great fun and had loads of information.

Silvia gave a great tour. One of the best things in Iceland to do. - Great tour, leaded by an italian girl named Silvia Migliavacca. Safe and beautiful. Spikes for shoes were included. Nice stops for pictures. We had luck with great weather.
