- Villa Amarilla Beachfront Hotel Tamarindo - Surf lessons have a duration of around two hours.\n\nWe will check the conditions for surfing and I will explain the surfing forecast for that day.\n\nAt the beginning of the class you get a theory lesson where you will practice the basics on the sand.\n\nIf you are a beginner and have never surfed before, don’t worry! With us you could enjoy getting up on a wave in your first lesson.\n\nFor advanced lessons we can go to the best point breaks and improve your skills.\n\nWe recommend to use rash guard, sunscreen and be hydrated

We will meet at the Villa Amarilla Hotel in front of the surf spot.
You will learn the safety rules in the water and then the surf theory class.
After practicing on the sand, we will go to the water.
I will guide you to enjoy surfing in Tamarindo.

Must try in Tamarindo Beach - Our first surf lesson was awesome. We took a lesson with Kevin . He is very experienced and told us all about the waves and the conditions in Tamarindo. Our kids are still talking about surfing. Ambiente was nice. Like the Costa Rican will say PURA VIDA.

Nice local instructor - We did our first surf lesson ever with Kevin and his girlfriend Lola in Tamarindo. These guys are amazing. Nice boards for beginners. First Kevin gave us a nice introduction to the board and the ocean. Once we went into the water we knew we want to come back. We felt very welcome and they helped us to get up on the board. Also Lola and Kevin teached us how to catch waves by ourselves, we felt like Superstars on our first lesson. Very friendly and pacient guys. Nice for kids and families.

Perfect morning to learn to surf - Kevin was a great instructor. He was patient and kind and gave great feedback that helped get me and my kid riding our first waves. He also knew the perfect time to meet when the waves were rideable and the wind was calm.

Best surf teacher really recomended !! - We took our first lesson with Kevin. He teached us everything we need to know before we went into the water. We felt safe all the time. Everybody was able to get up on their first wave. Also Kevin gave us some really good tips so in the end we were able to catch some waves alone. He is a really pacient and friendly guy who makes sure you get Everything you need. Highly recomended Kevin !!!

Wonderful Experience for a family from the midwestern part of the United States - From the moment we met our Kevin, it was clear we were in for an unforgettable experience. With two young daughters in tow, safety was our top priority, and our instructor’s professionalism immediately put us at ease. His patience and enthusiasm were infectious, turning what could have been a daunting activity into an exciting adventure. He tailored the lesson perfectly to accommodate the girls’ skill levels, providing gentle guidance and encouragement every step of the way. By the end of our session, not only had our daughters caught many waves, but they were beaming with confidence and pride. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to surfing, and we’re already looking forward to surfing again. This is all my girls talked about at dinner! Highly recommended for families seeking a fun and safe surfing experience!
