Udawalawe National Park is a national park on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces in Sri Lanka. The park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir.

Amazing experience ( 7 hour safari) - Incredible experience seeing animals in their natural environment.
Gimhana was very helpful and answered all the questions we asked.

Awesome safari experience - Amazing Safari! Gimhana was an excellent guide, arranged our taxis through the day, and ensured our time avoided wet weather. We saw so many elephants and lots of other wildlife. 1000% recommend

Worth it - This tour is so worth doing: you can see animals in the free wildlife, very ethical and respectful! Gimhana was very kind and friendly. He welcomed us in his jeep where he offered us cold drinks and made sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable tour. He made sure we had the best experience possible, taking us to all the places where we could spot animals. of course you also need luck, but with Gimhana everything was very nice.

The best experience with Gimhana in Udawalawe park - We had the most amazing day. Thank you to our guide Gimhana. He has extesive knowledge of all the animals which we loved! We were lucky to see many elephants, crocodiles, water buffaloes, monkeys and kind of birds. He took us away from the crowded areas so we could have a peaceful experience. Thank you to Gimhana for being such a good guide - would strongly recommend him!

Fantastic experience with many elephants to see! - Had a great experience in Udawalawe National Park. We saw lots of animals. Our guide was really good and knew a lot about all animals. Our guide was very informative of the wildlife, took great photos and had a genuine care and love for everything around him. I would 100% recommend this park and guide.

Great Safari in Udawalawe - We had a great safari!
Plenty of animals to see. Especially the elephants which was amazing. Gimhana showed great knowledge about the park and animals which made the experience even better! Definitely recommendable!

Super Great and Private Safari Tour - Really great and detailed/informative private safari tour with a nice guide.
This also always made sure that you find animals and recognize even small birds and lizards in the bushes.
Plenty of time for pictures and questions about nature and animals.
Contacting was straightforward via WhatsApp and went super fast.
Would do the tour again immediately.

Disappointing Safari - We did an evening safari because they recommended it to us. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time, and we didn’t see any animals. We understand it wasn’t their fault, but why recommend this time without checking the weather forecast? They said the evening was the best, but it just wasted our time.
What made it worse was that the guide wasn’t the one we expected. He used the same name, but it was a different person, and his English was bardzo słaby. When we asked why they recommended the evening safari in the rain, he just smiled and said he didn’t know.
We feel like they oszukali nas. We paid more than other operators, and we don’t understand why they treated us this way. I hope they improve their communication and service, so others don’t have the same experience.
