ITINERARY:

8:00 a.m: Our tour guide will greet you at your stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Then, we’ll proceed to Long Tan Commune in the Dat Do District of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, a three-hour journey.
11:00: We’ll then head to Hoa Long to explore an old battlefield. You’ll be taken to several locations:

  1. Long Phuoc Underground Tunnel - an erstwhile tunnel system used during the war.
  2. Nui Dat Base (SAS hill) - previously the Australian Task Force Base (ATF) at Nui Dat. Key wartime landmarks such as the SAS hill, “Luscombe Field” airstrip, Luscombe Bowl and the “Kangaroo South Pad” Helicopter landing site, as well as the Pearly gates area. After this, we’ll visit the Nui Dat Kindy.
  3. You’ll visit the Long Tan Cross Memorial and learn about the LTC and the Long Tan battle of 1966 where 108 members of ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corp) contended against 1,500 - 2,500 Viet Cong forces.
  4. View/photograph Horseshoe Hill (Formerly known as Fire support Base, or Gia Quy).

13:30: We return to Ba Ria for lunch.

15:00: You’ll be dropped back to your hotel, concluding the tour.
