Highlights
  • Province of Rome - Meet your local chef and learn to prepare many original recipes. In Italy, each city has its own recipes that vary depending on the season and here you will do the same: in the summertime, you will prepare sorbets and ice cream, while in winter sfogliatelle and stuffed pasta. Claudia’s kitchen is appreciated everywhere and prestigious newspapers (The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal) wrote about her.

In Italy, the “Italian Sunday lunch” is considered very important and you will have the opportunity to be part of this traditional moment. Dress up the chef’s apron and start to prepare delicious dishes: vegetable fritters or savory strudel, croutons with vegetables and cheese; the pasta will be made by hand with flour from a local mill and eggs taken by the farmer, lasagne or ravioli or fettuccine, with their sauce and then a typical second course, the rolls or saltimbocca and for vegetarians a special dish. Finally, a cake that will be a parfait or a tart made together with your friends. After your practical lessons, you can sip home-made wine, enjoy the fantastic view and eat in the romantic living room or in the garden.

Don’t think, just DO THIS! - My husband and I couldn’t say enough about this wonderful experience! The beautiful location, people, home, garden, etc. It was just over the top amazing! Such an exceptional cooking class with the wonderful Claudia and Bruno. Incredible experience in every aspect. We were picked up promptly from the train station, arrived at their home and were met with warmth and Italian hospitality. We made pasta together, gathered herbs from the garden, walked amongst the olive trees and vineyard. Definitely our favorite day in Italy. Highly recommend it to anybody and everybody. Thank you for a most memorable time with you!

Unparalleled cooking experience - Claudia and Bruno warmly welcomed us into their home as their guests. We enjoyed every moment from start to finish—learning how to make several dishes that included ravioli and fried artichokes! We are excited to experiment with our new skills and recipes when we return home. The food, wine, company and countryside setting made for a delightful experience!

All the right "ingredients" for a beautiful early spring Sunday - Excellent experience! Everything was perfect, even the weather, with a splendid sunny day that allowed us to have lunch outdoors, together with a nice American couple and another two young people from Rome. Claudia, the chef, and Bruno welcomed us with great cordiality into their beautiful home. Once everyone arrived, the "lesson" began, with the preparation of the egg pasta which each of us kneaded and rolled out following Claudia's instructions. The same, then, for the filling for the ricotta and spinach ravioli. The pasta left after cutting out the ravioli was further rolled out and cut to obtain fettuccine which was then seasoned with a tomato sauce and bacon. Followed by rolls filled with herbs and ham cut with a knife accompanied by excellent battered fried artichokes and baked fennel (which I ignored because they are among the very few things I don't eat). To finish, an excellent shortcrust pastry dessert filled with cream. All accompanied by white and red wine produced from their vineyard. Obviously all the dishes were made by the "students" under the patient guidance of Claudia, while Bruno accompanied us with some songs he performed with skill on the keyboards. In short, a wonderful day in excellent company and with delicious food! Anna Maria and Michele

Best cooking class experience in Italy! - Highly recommend this cooking class! Claudia is a wonderful and very experienced chef and we had the best lunch with her and Bruno. It is really nice to be welcomed into their home and listen to all their stories. They grow everything in their garden, make their own wine, olive oil and are just really kind and lovely people to meet. We are already looking forward to the next time we visit Italy, so we can visit Claudia and Bruno again and learn to cook some amazing new recipes.

Home from home <3 - This was such a wonderful, relaxed & educational experience. Right from the moment of booking we were made to feel at ease and welcome. Claudia, Julia & Bruno are wonderful hosts & the class was the perfect way to escape the busy city for a day. I had booked this as a surprise for my Mum and we both enjoyed every second. Getting there is super easy, don't let the train ride put you off. It's beautiful scenery and the train was clean, pleasant and on time. Would 100% come back and learn more! The food was absolutely delicious & ingredients super fresh (lots picked on the day).

Grand Experience in Roman Countryside with Local Chef - This is an experience not to miss! Imagine stepping outside of the hustle and bustle of Rome, meeting good people, and experiencing genuine Italian meal prep from a person with valued experience. Our morning began with taking a local train out of Rome, being met with welcoming arms a half hour away at the small train stop, and then being driven to the chef’s personal home (Claudia & Bruno) beyond the suburbs in a country setting. Once at their home, we exchanged a bit of each other’s life experiences over cups of coffee, which transitioned into a discussion about the menu that would become a family lunch feast. Next came guided step-by-step preparations of notable Italian specialties. What would it be like to have a cooking class in Italy and not experience making pasta and all that goes with it? We were not disappointed! My wife and I loved being guided in making a variety of this Italian staple. First came the preparation. We gathered herbs growing in their yard for the sauces and then began kneading and rolling out pasta -- making it thin for cutting, stamping, and forming…. Voila! Noodles, ravioli, and linguini all started to take shape. This was a cooking class where you not only talked about food and the mechanics, but prepared each delicacy, which ultimately became the meal we all enjoyed! There is something so genuine about being in a person’s home and receiving hands-on guidance — step by step, guided down an authentic path that ended in a wonderfully rewarding lunch, sampling their homemade wine, with family around the table. We’d recommend this class to anyone who would enjoy stepping out of the intense mainstream and graciously being surrounded by wonderful people as preparation is made for an authentic meal that all enjoyed! Time flew by… we were surprised when the time came when we had to return to the little train station to board our return trip back to Rome.

Must do experience! Best meal we had in Italy! - I really wanted to learn how to make pasta while visiting Italy. I got all I wanted and more cooking with Claudia and Bruno! Claudia is the real deal. She started cooking as a child with her grandmother and went on to run her own restaurant in Rome. Now she and Bruno live in the countryside and have opened their home to guests like us! The travel by train was easy! The house is lovely and Claudia and Bruno are excellent hosts. When we arrived we had coffee and homemade cookies. We made 3 different types of pasta, a veggie side, and a meat dish! It was served alongside fresh bread and olive oil made from the olive trees on their property. In fact, a lot of the ingredients we used in the sauces came from their garden! The wine we had with lunch… you guessed it! Made from their own grapes. We tasted a lovely white and red! Bruno played the piano and sang while we cooked. He is a very talented player! I really felt like I was visiting my long lost Italian Zia and zio! This was the best meal we had in Italy! And we helped make it! When my husband and I returned home we were able to make homemade pasta for our kids!
