Day 1: Marsa Alam to Luxor Transfer and Luxor East Bank\n\nMarsa Alam - Your tour will start with a pick up from your hotel in Marsa Alam at 7:00 am (available to change) by our English speaking driver in an air conditioned vehicle, then begins the 4-5 hour journey towards Luxor. Amazing Tours with Egyptologist Hatem - My wife and I had an amazing two day tour led by Hatem. His knowledge of Egyptian history and understanding of the cultural significance of each of the places we saw made the trip awesome. He took the time to describe what we were about to see before we visited each tomb or temple and then described them in greater detail once we were there.
The hot-air balloon ride was a nice way to get a perspective on the area of the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. It is worth waking up for.
The small / private sail boat ride to Banana Island was peaceful and a great way to unwind. The food there was the best we had.
Seeing one of the Temples in the evening was a nice change of pace. The late afternoon / evening lighting made it so different than the ones you see during daylight hours.
