Fantastic views and excellent guides - Anyone who grew up in the 90s will recognise this Lighthouse from Round the Twist - and aside from the connection to the TV show, it is a fantastic and educational experience to visit. Well worth the $10 ticket to go inside with a guide and get a spectacular view from the top. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and happy to chat and answer questions. It's worth doing the short walk to the lookouts as well for more fantastic scenery. We stopped at the little cafe in the former stables, just down the road, for some cold drinks and morning tea - also highly recommended.

Climb to the balcony and get a great view - Split Point Lighthouse is the guardian of Victoria's Shipwreck Coast. This treacherous piece of water has been the graveyard of many ships especially during the 19th century, the Age of Sail. To get a great view of the Southern Ocean, you can climb to the lighthouse's balcony.

Incredible views! - An absolutely amazing experience! We went along with childhood memories of Round The Twist, but also just wanted the amazing experience of climbing a lighthouse. We were given an introduction and some great history when we arrived, and then we headed up to the top. It's quite a decent walk up, but plenty of great information to stop and read along the way. The view from the top is quite something else though. We could've spent ages up there. There's a guide at the top to help control the amount of people out on the viewing area at any one time - we were able to be out there for quite a while, but I could see this could get busy during peak seasons. Like a few people mentioned, it does cost a reasonable amount for a short visit. But knowing the money goes back into helping preserve the lighthouse makes it a whole lot more palatable. We also didn't find the parking a problem at all - the signs were pretty clear we felt, and there was quite a bit of parking on the eastern side of the lighthouse.

Enjoyable visit - There was one guide at the top of the lighthouse and one at the bottom. Both were very willing to answer questions and provide information about the lighthouse and area.

It’s The Climb - What a fantastic experience to climb this fabulous lighthouse. It is not a Strenuous climb- you just need to pace yourself- but when you get to the top you are rewarded with the best views imaginable. Highly recommend this activity.

Lovely - Lovely old lighthouse with lots of history. Price for entry was reasonable, although why we are paying to see things kept going with our tax dollars is beyond me. Lovely climb and views from the too and nice helpful staff.

A refund - but disappointment. - It seems that the Split Point Lighthouse operators do not provide third-party booking sites with current information on cancellations. We arrived with our pre-paid tickets, having driven two hours with our international visitors, to find the Lighthouse fully booked with school groups for the day on which we had booked. I will say that Viator were very prompt in providing a refund - but they can't give back the time, and we missed out on an experience we were all anticipating eagerly. More co-ordination between provider and booking service is required.

Becareful of parking area with 'no stopping' signage! - We drove there to see the lighthouse and parked the car inside the designated "PARKING" area for about 90 minutes, along with many other cars. Upon returning, all the cars on that side had a parking ticket, $192 !!!! The signage of 'no stopping' is not really expected in the area which has a 'PARKING' sign at the entrance. That side of the parking can easily be closed for cars!!!!!!
