- Weiherweg 34 - We will meet on the parking and I will first explain a few things about the bird(s) including a small safety briefing as well as information on keeping birds of prey, the equipment used and training techniques as well as modern day application of falconry as a profession and lifestyle. We will then continue together into the forest where we will allow the hawk to fly free and follow us as we are walking through the forest. Falconry gloves will be distributed and everyone will be able to call the hawk to your glove while he is in free flight. Selfies with the hawk are almost obligatory;) Everyone can ask questions about falconry which is a world unesco heritage and has a tradition of over 4,000 years. After about 30 minutes in the forest we will start to head back to the car park with the hawk. A truly unforgettable experience with a magnificent animal.

An enthralling and exciting hands-on experience with trained raptors is not something one often has the opportunity to witness in their lifetime. Definitely a must-see!
Visitors will get the chance to engage in a memorable interaction with a trained raptor at a close range in a truly singular event. I will meet the guests in the car park located next to Allschwilerweiher, on the outer edges of Basel and directly on the route of tramline number 8. After a brief safety orientation, we will proceed into the woods, with the hawk following us. Every visitor will have the chance to allure the splendid bird to their falconer’s glove, thereby witnessing the creature’s magnificence at close quarters.
