Additional Information

With plenty to stir your interest, Alentejo is no ordinary place. Designated as a global heritage location, the whole town of Évora is likened to an open museum as per UNESCO since 1986. The architecture of the streets and edifices within its walls have remained virtually unchanged over hundreds of years. Within its confines, remnants of Roman civilization, medieval structures, manors and monasteries tell stories of Portugal’s glory days. During this comprehensive day trip, Arraiolos is also on the itinerary - an area bearing signs of human occupation possibly dating back to the Neolithic or even the Chalcolithic era. You’re sure to marvel at the exclusive designs and distinctive stitches of Arraiolos carpets, and take in the unique round structure of the castle also known as Paço dos Alcaides.

Everyone should go to Evora - What a great tour. Going to Évora felt like seeing an almost undiscovered part of Portugal. After this tour we feel like we experienced the true heart of Portugal. Great lunch, great stop at a cork factory and beautiful churches. Bruno our guide made this a wonderful experience.
