Embark on an extraordinary Wildlife Adventure! Take a dip with untamed Dolphins in the vast sea, and explore the magnificent underwater vista of the Azores Islands through snorkeling! - Azores Whale Watching TERRA AZUL - The journey starts with a short briefing introducing to local species, responsible practice on activity, onboard safety, and snorkeling equipment usage.
Follow the Guide and Skipper to your designated boat, and go out to sea. Our lookout high inland will then locate our friends, and provide directions via VHF Radio to where the boat will travel.
While approaching our friends very carefully, your guide will evaluate if favorable conditions are met to allow the activity proceedings. Exclusively between June and September, it is possible to swim with any of 4 different species of Dolphins!
Always be prepared to go into the water! 2 swimmers alternate in the water during limited periods of time - you do not want to miss an opportunity in which Dolphins can eventually come close by their friendliness and curiosity.
On the second part, the boat travels to a coastal location for snorkeling, to discover the characteristic marine fauna & flora and the island’s sea bottom.
