- Blue Nile Falls - After a relaxed lunch break, drive to the Blue Nile Falls, located about 30 km from Bahir Dar. The falls are the most iconic waterfalls in Ethiopia.

Bahir Dar is located on Lake Tana, home to numerous island monasteries, some of which date back to the 14th century. The roughly 30 islands within it act as a special natural refuge for various flora.
The Blue Nile Falls, or Tis Issat in Amharic translating to ‘smoking water’, are situated on the Blue Nile River in Ethiopia. These falls are positioned on the river’s upper path, about 30 kilometers downstream from BahirDar town and Lake Tana.
