Whales, dolphins and birdlife galore off the coast of SW Cork. - Dear Jerry and Rianne. Thank you so much for the brilliant afternoon we had yesterday on your eco- tour on the Wave Chieftain. Just being out and about on a boat trip along the cliffs was brilliant but everybody was very excited to see the basking sharks - especially the one that came feeding right up next to the boat. There were so many Common dolphin jumping and playing in the boat wake that everyone got a decent photo and it was delightful to have a grey seal float by on it's back watching us as we passed by. Loads of bird life including several Northern Divers, Manx Shearwaters and plenty of puffins. I wasn't really expecting a whale but then Jerry found us a couple of Minke Whales! Cherry on the cake! I was especially glad to see how Jerry navigated the boat carefully and professionally so as not to cause stress to the animals by not chasing them but avoided any risk of hitting them by swinging around in an arc before stopping to allow the animals to move towards the boat instead. 10/10! See you next year!! Ann O'Leary and family

Unique experience in a breathtaking setting - Everything was perfect. The weather was perfect and Jerry explained everything to us wonderfully. We were able to see lots of animals in the wild that afternoon: lots of dolphins, some minke whales, tuna, a seal and, finally, as a highlight, a fin whale. Simply fantastic! Jerry, thank you for your hospitality, your patience and your good instincts. It's definitely worth it!! PS: there's also a toilet on the boat.

Wonderful Experience! - We had a brilliant afternoon, we saw lots of dolphins, including babies (so tiny and sweet!) Also saw minke and fin whales (at a distance!), a lone grey seal, gannets, storm petrels and guillemots. Gerry, the Skipper was very knowledgeable. My friend remarked that it was the best €50 she had ever spent!

Great time on the water. Highly recommend! - Wonderful few hours out on the water with Jerry, our captain. Within the first 30 minutes we came across some harbour porpoises and were able to get quite close to the pod even though they were described to us as a shy breed. Unfortunately these were the only sea life we saw, and Jerry was more disappointed than I was. Happy to have time on the water on a beautiful day!
