I was raised in the stunning hill-top town of Bandipur (it’s a sight to behold!). At 16, I started as a porter, but my excellent command of English quickly advanced me to the roles of Assistant Guide and then to Lead Guide. I have numerous years of experience as a Lead Guide, working with both Intrepid Travel and Himalayan Encounters before I opted to become an independent guide.

Throughout these years, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge on diverse areas like the mountains, first-aid, nature, local traditions, weather, food, hygiene, and customer service. Some of this knowledge I attained growing up in the Himalayas, some from government training sessions, and some from my experience as a guide. I’m also intrigued to learn about Western life from my clients! I find tremendous gratification in meeting new individuals and creating friendships globally.
