Great Day at the Causeway - Awesome tour with Daren! Had some great laughs along the way. Lots of history shared by Daren. The coastal ride to the Causeway was breathtaking. Wonderful stop at Dunluce castle where we got to see the remaining structures and read about its history. We also stopped for some delicious scones! Great day… thank you Daren 🙂👍

Fun excursion - We had a great time on this excursion! Comfortable bus and a fun and knowledgeable guide, Dom. We were picked up by the ship and returned home with plenty of time to spare. Plenty of time was given at the Giant’s Causeway and then we stopped at a great little shop for lunch.

Very impressive - The Giants Causeway was astounding, so impressed with the beauty and majesty of the place. It was our favourite tour in Great Britain so far. Our guide was hilarious and interesting.

Breathtaking Belfast - Tom, the guide was very conscious of our time ashore so that we made the most of our day trip during the time we had allocated.

Bus troubles ruined trip - Despite the very enjoyable places we went, and the excellent guidance of Thomas, my strongest memory of this tour will always be getting cooked. It was a hot day, which I understand is unusual, but the driver said the air conditioner didn’t work, unless he ran the heat. it was 33°C or approximately 92°F. The heat blew from the bottom registers on to my feet two hours each way. About every 15 minutes or so. We would get a five minute blast of air conditioning. By the time we returned to port, pretty much everybody on the bus felt ill from the heat. We also had trouble leaving the Giants Causeway when the bus door wasn’t closed and so the bus refused to start. We were all trapped in that hot airless buss until one of the passengers helped figure out how to get the door closed. The whole bus situation really ruined what would otherwise be a very nice tour and we opted to skip our last stop which was pretty upsetting but we didn’t want to take a chance of missing our ship because the bus wouldn’t start. It was also difficult to find the bus in the morning. There are a lot of buses at port.. Most of the time there is a sign in the bus window or there is a guide holding a sign. There was nothing in the bus window and the guide didn’t show up on time. In fact, we were not sure we were even going to get a guide. Once he arrived, Thomas was an excellent guide and I really appreciate his commentary over the long trip.

Tom, our guide, was... - Tom, our guide, was great, quick wit, funny, entertaining. Wasn’t aware of the hike to the causeway, downhill fine, uphill, not so much. If I did it again, I would take the bus ( also unaware of that option) never did make it all the way to the bottom, heard bus line back up was really long and wasn’t sure if time allowed for walk back up or wait for bus.

A tour that should never happen - Terrible tour- The bus did not have a functioning air conditioning system and the temperature on the bus was 31 degrees centigrade. The driver could not get the bus to shift into gear and we waited for over ban hour before he was able to fix the problem. The tour guide cancelled the remainder of the tour because so many of the passengers were becoming sick from the high temperature.

DO NOT USE PADDYWAGGON EVER - Cruise port excursion, had to search & ask for our tour bus as no one there waiting nor marked bus. Found a driver who’d been called night before, then waited another hour for tour guide to show…THEN went into Belfast to pick up other people for tour staying at a hotel, that was scheduled at 9:45…tour finally got started over 2hrs after. Temperature was the hottest day on record & our bus didn’t have AC. At one point it was cooler outside than inside, which was 95 inside. Stop at Causeway was fine, but then we had issues with the bus starting. Ended up eating at a place, and again having issues getting bus to start. The cruise passengers forced the tour guide to take us back to the ship and not continue the tour for fear of being stranded. Sad to say, but we used Paddywaggon 3 times on this cruise, and all 3 were a disaster. Please read reviews, I’m not a complainer, but hope to prevent others from using Paddywaggon for tours. We missed many things we were suppose to see, paid for small group but showed up with big bus well over 20-25. Too much to share, HIGHLY avoid or you WILL have many issues that neither Paddywaggon nor Viator will help resolve.
