We will visit historic sites and learn about queer history such as the first ever public outing, the first gay activist organisation, the first gay and lesbian magazine, the first ever institute of sexology, and we will explore the nightlife of the vibrant twenties. The tour also encompasses how Berlin evolved into such an open-minded city.
We begin at Unter den Linden, proceed past the Brandenburg Gate, journey through Tiergarten, to Spreeufer, and finally, in Schöneberg, we uncover the LGBTQ-centric areas of Nollendorfplatz and conclude at Motzstrasse.
The tour is roughly 2.5 hours long.
