Great tour and relaxing. Easy on and off👍 - The bus ride was a great way to see the city and listen to someone tell us about all the highlights of what we were seeing. Super easy to hop on and off. The boat tour was nice but we didn’t understand anything said since it wasn’t in English…but it was still a nice ride.

Good tour to see Berlin - Good tour to do while in Berlin. Bus takes you to all the main sites. I would maybe try another company next time only cause we saw 'The Big Bus' tour company buses on the road a lot more.

The worst HO/HO bus we’ve experienced. - My fiancé and I just did the 48 hr HO/HO bus in Berlin (no cruise, just bus) and it was awful. We’ve done many of these buses all over the world, with other companies and many times with City Sightseeing, and never had any issues. Which is why we were surprised by how bad this one was. The Pros: - The stop locations are in good places. You can see a lot of the main attractions with just a short walk. - Buses are warm, which was nice in the cold weather. The Cons: - The main red loop say takes its approx 2 hours to complete. However, it takes well over 3 hours to do a full lap. Same with the other loop. Significantly more than it says it will. Not because of traffic or weather, but because at every few stops the driver takes anywhere between a 10 to 20 minute break. Such a waste of time. You could probably walk it quicker. We like to do one full lap and decide which stops to get on/off on the next lap. But this isn’t possible as it takes so long to complete. Unless you’re getting on at the first few stops it could be after 10am before you even board and the buses stop at 6pm (so whatever stop you’re closest to at this time the bus terminates there). It sounds like a long time but once you factor in actually getting off and seeing the attractions and waiting for the next bus (see points below). It’s not a lot of time, especially if you only have a few days in the city. - They make a huge deal about not standing up whilst the bus is in motion (understandable, safety first and this isn’t the issue). On a few occasions, we were on the top deck, and as soon as the bus stopped we stood up and walked down, and by the time we’d get to the bottom of the stairs the driver had already pulled away to move on to the next stop and when we spoke up and said we were getting off it was as if it was an inconvenience for them to stop. So you either get 10 seconds to get off or 20 minutes. No in between. - The commentary wasn’t the best either. There wasn’t a lot, mostly music (compared to other tours we’ve taken) and when the commentator was talking it was so out of sync to where the bus actually was, so it was very confusing. We also found that the information wasn’t always the same. As we went on 2 different days, both days pointed out different things. - The bus drivers announced everything in German (bus stops, and every time there was a break. Which was a lot). We understand being in Germany, this is the national language. But if you’re a tourist, which most people are, you have no idea what they’re saying. Might be an idea to have announcements come through the headsets in the customers language. - Other companies give you a rough time table (obviously subject to change with traffic, weather etc), but all you’re given for this bus is a start time of 9:30am from stop 1 and the bus comes every half hour or so to each stop. But if you don’t know roughly how long between each stop or when the first one comes to each stop you spend more time waiting around. Over half our days were spent waiting as you didn’t want to miss it and have to wait for the next one (again, see above about all the breaks). - Stop locations aren’t always the same as what the maps say or aren’t very clear. There is no signage of where the bus stops (this may be a city thing as we didn’t notice any for other companies). But it does make it hard to work out where to hail the bus. - The route the bus takes also changes. Although it stops at the right stops, the route it takes to get there changed on a few occasions. No communications about it on the website and if the driver did communicate it we didn’t understand it as it was in German. I know this isn’t a huge problem, but if you wanted to drive past something in particular you might not. Also meant the commentary didn’t match. There were a few other minor things, but we can attribute them to other factors and not necessarily City Sightseeing so I won’t mention them to keep it honest. Overall, we wouldn’t do this tour with them again. We would with another company however.

Boring and technical problems - It could be so good, but it was really just boring. Many of the sound boxes were broken, the sound did not always match the view and the seats were uncomfortable to sit on. And the way the 2 on the tape were "joking" seriously got on our nerves. 1st, only and last time with such a trip.

White buses👎, sightseeing tour of Berlin - I was highly recommended such a sightseeing tour by friends who had previously been to Berlin, but I did not expect that this service was provided by different companies with very different quality! We got on the WHITE bus. The ticket seller, who saw a booklet about such an excursion in my hands, said that their company did the same thing, only cheaper. It turned out to be completely different. Not all buses have an audio guide (out of the 4 we boarded, only 1 had one). Real guides (people) who spoke indifferently in German and English, although they were interested in the language of the new guests, but only for show. Even in German they did not try to speak clearly, so my German level B1 was often powerless. On that bus, where there was still the possibility of an audio guide, when I said that I and 2 other grown-up children, after several attempts to hear something through headphones, did not understand how it worked for them, then the real guide did not even bother to tell us help. The three of us had to try every 12 attempts, despite the fact that the audio guide does not always speak. That is, you set it to 1, for example, and there is silence. And you sit there and think that you’re probably doing something wrong, there’s some secret. Of course there is: a Russian-speaking guide on number 6!! But he rarely speaks, not about all the sights, and very concisely: this-and-such, built in such-and-such a year. The buses are dirty, 3 out of 4 guides we met were absolutely not friendly. I do not recommend WHITE buses at all. As we say in Ukraine, “cheap fish is filthy fish.”

not recommended, fortunately there are enough alternatives - Bad service if you have a question, unfriendly staff. Unreachable by phone. Bad app that doesn't make it clear where exactly the buses stop.

Disappointing operator - We chose this particular operator because we've had great experiences with their tours in other cities around the world. However, this one, in Berlin, was a disappointment. While a hop-on-hop-off tour is a great way to get an overall view of the sights in Berlin, I would not recommend this operator. It started with the ticket salesman at stop no 1 attempting to give us the incorrect change (for one ticket 10 Euro short), or perhaps he genuinely cant subtract 30 from 50 Euros :-( But what we really found most irritating were the long waiting periods for the next bus at the various hop-offs, compared to the other operators. We were told the busses run every 20 minutes, however the real waiting times were much longer. You couldnt miss that other hop-on-hop-off operators run far more busses than this one. While we were waiting for our next bus at various stops, 2 or 3 busses (each) of competing operators dropped and picked up their passengers. At one stop we were waiting 45 minutes for our bus while 3 and 5 busses of two other operators came by.

Not enough buses running. You wait for ages to not have a seat - Not enough buses running (they told us one bus was broken today). You wait 20-30mins each time for a bus and when it arrives it is packed so you can't get on or you can't sit. Commentary is very poor and sometimes doesn't work. Very poor value for money. Big Bus seemed to run a lot more and have more options so go for them instead
