Highlights
  • Salvador Dali Exhibition - After years of collecting and research, the permanent Museum-Gallery Xpo Salvador Dalí Marquis de Púbol opened in the belfry of Bruges.

The outstanding collection of sculptures and famous works of graphic art are on display in a unique and exclusive building, which has been decorated by Barron Saint Mythelfinger, the 360° artist-designer of Grand Opera Decor. He transformed the medieval hall into a Dalínian showroom, a work of art itself. Coloured gold, mother-of-pearl, and shocking pink.

The exhibition room also has a shop where you find a selection of original quality works with certification for sale.

The exhibition is located in the Adornes hall of the Belfry, Markt 7 in 8000 Bruges.

Exhibition worth seeing! - It’s must do if you’re a fan of his work! Lots of pieces that I haven’t seen before and you could even buy some! Usually takes about an hour and half for you to go around the whole gallery.

Worth visiting - Lots of originals but no major works. Was great though, centrally located on the main market square. Some originals on sale

Disturbing Exhibit - This experience provided accurate instructions on how to redeem this experience at the museum. The exhibit venue was unusual, and some of Dali’s works were not on display (the sacrament of the Last Supper, others were disturbing. Not my favorite exhibit.

Disappointing - I love Dali, but there, I had the impression more of being in a commercial exhibition, where we were trying to sell lithographs. No real painting except drafts, sculptures for sale based on his works... we learn a few things about the man, but it remains limited... Entrance is a bit expensive for a sales show 🙄

Exhibition reserved for Dali lovers - Exhibition designed for a restricted audience and connoisseurs of Dali. The exhibition seems too intimate. Despite the availability of an audio guide, the experience was disappointing. The high cost of 20 euros does not seem justified. Tips: If you are not a connoisseur of this great artist, it is better to refrain from visiting this exhibition. Go your way.

It’s ok but ruined by one member of staff - It is value for money and worth seeing. Unfortunately, our visit was ruined by a dreadful old lady who works there. She was very rude to my mother and I because we missed the closed sign and came in 60 seconds before opening time. We both immediately apologised and went to leave. She insisted on being condescending and sarcastic towards us which was quite embarrassing. As we finished our tour I did approach her to apologise for entering early and I took the opportunity to point out to her that she had ruined our visit and she must learn not to speak to people in such a way again. She replied with rudeness. This person will not take responsibility or learn from mistakes. Sadly mine and my mother’s visit was wasted but we found other places in Bruges very welcoming and beautiful. Just avoid here maybe.

Don't waste your time. Bruges deserves better! - Mediocre exhibition, a few prints, a few drawings, a few copies. Waste of time ! When we ask for €10 pp we think first! It's not worth the detour and Bruges deserves better!

Nothing - Nothing, nothing happened... The Expo closes its doors at 6 p.m. We show up at 4:45 p.m. and ask for entry. Without looking at us, the hostess tells us that she can sell us tickets for 45 minutes only or for the next day. I ask him if the museum is full. She tells me no, still without looking at us... So we leave empty-handed without understanding this time restriction 🤨

Waste of money - The lady at the counter was curt with us and explained everything as if we were not completely fresh. The exhibition is very disappointing and there is no text or explanation for many works of art. I saw some works six times at the exhibition. It is small, the floor creaks a lot and the quality of the furnishings is low. Wasted money!

City break - Shocking customer service ,made to feel a nuisance for asking questions about entry to the place.Lady was patronising,no enthusiasm for the art and rushed us as wanting to close early -4.30pm!!Tuttering around the exhibition,no appreciate for the art.I wasn't a fan ,unlike my partner and it spoilt the experience. Won't recommend unless staff are re trained
