- Veresegyhaz - We will visit a Bear and Wolf Sanctuary, where you will see brown bears and wolves living together in a huge territory. These bears were saved from circuses from different countries and now they are enjoying their normal way of life in the sanctuary. There are lakes and forest in sanctuary so if we are lucky we can see them playing in the lake in warm weather. We will walk around the area your guide will give you all the information so you will be an expert regarding the bears at the end of the tour. The sanctuary and the visitors are separated by a special fence but the animals are curious so they will come close to the fence. The sanctuary is supported by many animal protection organizations. The place is owned by the local government and it serves educational purposes too to see the way of life of these predators. It is absolutely safe for visitors, and very popular with Hungarians but as it is far from the city(45 km, about 28 miles) from the city most foreign visitors miss it.

The town-owned wildlife refuge is globally acknowledged by the world animal safety organization for its remarkable 25 years of service. Your visit promotes the welfare of the sheltered animals. A climate-controlled van facilitates the transportation from Budapest to the Bear Sanctuary, a journey that lasts an hour in each direction. The tour guide will offer comprehensive knowledge about the bears and wolves and if luck permits, you will experience actions from the animals that are unique to Natural Geography films. The bears, rescued from circuses, now enjoy a peaceful existence in a large habitat we will tour. These bears and wolves live according to their natural instincts. We merely observe them, so you might see bears frolicking in a lake, ascending trees, or simply wrestling. Some bears are native to the location, so you may occasionally see bear cubs accompanying their mothers. When the bears are young, they reside in a separate sector. This unrestricted freedom contributes to the happiness of these wild animals, rendering this location truly unique.
