Jewish Quarter tour - A tour around the Jewish Quarter / Ruin Bars wasn’t on the top of my list when I planned to visit Budapest but I loved every second! Trying news bars and drinks (shout out to cherry beer!) was so much fun, especially led by Fanni! She is so knowledgeable and made the experience fun to meet new people and explore areas I hadn’t considered. She taught the history of the Jewish Quarter well and I loved learning about the history of such a beautiful country. Would 100% recommend!

Exploring the Jewish Quarter over Drinks - Our guide, Fanni, is warm, knowledgeable, funny, and upbeat. After pointing out some amazing murals in this eclectic district, she introduced us to the history of the Budapest Jewish community as we walked through the synagogue triangle ending at the moving Tree of Life monument. From there, we stepped into a different strand of this district’s history - visiting hidden “ruin bars” with their mazes of rooms, garden courtyards, found art, and walls decorated from ceiling to floor by the people who have frequented them. We toasted with palinka, enjoyed cider and beer, shared stories, and a snack of langos, before ending our evening at a local vintage bar by the university. Cheers (egészségedre) to Fanni for making our first night in Budapest so lovely!!

Spending time with a local is a must! - It was so much fun finding the secrets of the bars and talking with a local. It was as if we knew her for years. She had a lot to teach us and it was really organized. It really tied together what we learned and needed to know Thanks to Georgia! Gyorgy

So much fun - We booked a private Ruin Bar Crawl tour with Tomas (Tommi) and he did not disappoint! What I liked about this tour was we didn't go to the touristy locations. We went to where the locals went, tried Langos, and learned a lot of history. You could Tommi loved his city and had a lot of knowledge. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

Wonderful Experience, highly recommend - We had a wonderful evening and saw places we’d never would have found, we had Franni as our guide, what a lovely person, so warm and knowledgable about the area, the culture and the history. We would recommend without any doubt, you won’t regret it!

You have to see it to believe it! - Definitely worth a visit! Not seen anything like it before. Tends to be a young crowd but when you see the place it makes sense to why. Open till late and generally a good vibe. One of the only places we re visited over our stay.

An experience . - An experience. Good use of derelict spaces in the city. A multitude of rooms with different sounds in each. Very loud very busy. Let’s just say it’s an experience but ultimately for the young.
