Highlights
  • Caesarea National Park - The city of Caesarea was constructed under Herod and named after the Roman Emperor, Caesar. From what remains of the ancient city we can see that it was a prosperous and luxurious city. Among the archaeological excavations we can see gateways, a moat and well preserved walls and rooms. There is a perfectly preserved Roman amphitheater which is still used today for performances by Israeli and international artists. Next to the amphitheatre is part of what was once a hippodrome.
  • The Baha’i Gardens - We continue driving north passing through Haifa where we stop to see the breathtaking Baha’i Shrine and gardens. The terraced gardens cascade down the mountain towards the city below, each of the 19 terraces bursts with colorful flowers and landscaped designs.
  • Rosh Hanikra - Our next stop is at Rosh HaNikra, the most northerly point along Israel’s Mediterranean coast. We descend by cable car into the network of limestone grottoes created by the constant bombardment of waves against the rocks.
  • The Lebanese Border - Visit and explore the Grottos at Rosh Hanikra
  • Acre - Visit the Old City of Acre
  • Citadel of Acre - We can see the Crusader remains, the prison used under Turkish rule and the gallows which were used under the British Mandate to hang Jews who broke the British law limiting Jewish immigration to Palestine following World War II.

These cities are... - These cities are absolutely breathtaking. The view of the Mediterranean in Rosh HaNikra alone makes the tour worth it. Additionally, our tour guide Aviva was super cool, funny, and knowledgeable. It was my favorite part of my trip to Israel.

Overall Review of Northern Israel - I really enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was very very informative and knew more than we could even absorb. I thought they picked good spots to visit. I had been to Israel many times, and yet I learned new things. The bus was comfortable. They made plenty of rest stops. Bring your own water and some snacks as a few people coming off the bus at the same time would overwhelm the shops.

Truly unforgettable! - Itamar (Moses’ nephew) was the best tour guide! He provided the most personalized experience in Israel, even introducing us to his mother in Haifa. His prior combat intelligence work with the IDF enriched our understanding while we were at the Lebanon/north Israel border in Rosh HaNikra.

Amazing tour - 5 stars! - This was a great tour! Started by being picked up at a hotel next door to mine - very short walk from my hotel. From there we met at a meeting point where I got off the pick up bus and boarded another bus with a group of about 30 people. Our tour guide was Aviva and she was wonderful. She provided explanations about the sites visited and we had a wonderful time. We stopped for lunch at a simple restaurant, but the food was delicious. I had chicken shawarma and there was the option of falafel as well. It came with bread, French fries, hummus, different types of salads, juice and water. It was an additional $20USD per person for lunch. On the way back they dropped me off very close to my hotel. It was a long day, but a lot of fun. A day after I did this tour, I went on another one by another company, and when comparing both, I lived this one better, as it was more organized, less people and the tour guide was more knowledgeable. Bring cash to tip the driver and the tour guide. I would highly recommend you doing this tour!

Cesaria, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra - A very nice trip covers Cesaria, Aako, Rosh Hanikra, Haifa. Enjoyed seeing the ruins. Liked the trip to Rosh Hanikra. Lots of nice photos. Was disappointed that we saw Haifa from the top of the mountains, and were not allowed into Bahia Gardens. The view from the top is breathtaking. The opertor is Ben Harim. The tour guide mentioned tips. They are well paid for the work, and begging for tips is not kool. I went in September super hot!!!! Best time to go March April , October November

Great Day Trip to See Several Sights - Fun trip--a really well packed day that included stops at several really gorgeous sights in Israel. The Bahai Gardens and Rosh HaNikra in particular were stunning to see. Our guide was very knowledgeable and solid. The stop at Acre is where things weren't as ideal, Lunch was not included and we were brought to a solid, but unexciting Shawarma spot, though you could leave and take the time to yourself if you prefer. And we were brought to a pretty touristy gift shop afterwards. Once that was done we did get to explore the ruins, which was interesting but not as great as the earlier stops. Though it was also just a very long day at that point and I was pretty tired. Overall, it was really great to see so many unique sights in a day. If you're looking for a day trip from Tel Aviv that gets a little off the beaten path in Israel, this one is pretty great.

Worth a day if you time - This tour covers the areas that it says. Baha’i gardens was a bit of a disappointment as I had hope to visit all of the 3 sections instead of merely the top part. Ben, our guide, was adequate though he did not elaborate much on the details of each of the places or provide more historical accounts . Not sure if it was for lack of time, he quickly swept through the rooms at Acre and only paused to explain at two chambers. Other guides I noticed, seems to stop more at each area to provide more detailed explanations. When I asked if there were some notable crusader remains found itself, he merely answered yes without elaborating more.
