Tours to take - Enjoy this much more than I expected. Carlos was our primary pirate taking care of my wife and I. The show and music was very good. The drinks never stopped coming and the food was some of the best I had while in Cancun. Highly recommend taking this tour do experience the Mar de Caribe as it should be, on the water..

Amazing! So much fun!! - What a great night! The show was great! Everyone was involved, even the wait staff! The show was very interactive and had something for everyone to enjoy! You could tell that the actors all love what they do! The amount of fun they were having made the experience even better!! We had our own personal pirate, Raxis, who made sure we had everything we needed. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away. My boys are 17 and 11 and they both agreed that it was one of their favorite experiences of our vacation. It was such a great way to spend our last night in Mexico!! When we go back to Cancun, this will definitely be on our list to do again!! The only thing I would change (and it's not a big deal) would be the photo. We purchased the photo and the frame and we are very happy with it. I just wish there was a digital option as well. Not the end of the world and still worth it. Other activities we did during vacation wouldn't allow us to take pictures and videos but the photos were $120-$290. So $35 for a framed photo is a bargain! Thank you to the cast, the crew and to Raxis for ending our vacation with a bang!!!

Fun family time - This was a wonderful family experience. Our personal pirate was a bit scatterbrained with orders and also tried to seat us (a group of 7) at dinner, at a table with a family who only had 4 places to sit....The language at times was a bit strong for children (*gosh darn* could be used or "malvado" instead of the actual expletives that were said, just as a suggestion). The food was rather tasty, in actuality. The pictures were fantastic as was the memorabilia picture frame. I would suggest getting the arranged transportation because if we had not, I did not see many taxis at the pier, when we were finished late in the evening. Recommend overall.

Fun pirate show - This was a super fun experience! They have an interactive staff from the get-go and once we got to the ship Raxes was our personal pirate. He did an awesome job taking care of us during our time on the ship! Everything was wonderful, from the music, the actors and the food. Beautiful view of the sunset over the ocean as well, couldn’t have asked for a better night for some fun!

I’m going back! - I can’t rate this show high enough. Top notch Professional Entertainment, engaging actors, and plenty of action. The food is great as well. The adult beverages flow freely and the drinks are not watered down. There were several people who visit this show and experience once a year and now I will join the ‘annual visit club’ as it it worth going back for. Arhhhh! Nicholas

Must See! - My boyfriend & I went to this show for our last night in Cancun, we were definitely not disappointed! The pirates met us on the beach and guided us to get our wrist bands, pay the extra fees needed for docking, and determine what we wanted for dinner. After settling all of this, we were guided to the boat and a band was already playing! They greeted us and played until we were out to sea where the show started. All members on board had an assigned pirate to be their waiter. The show was incredible!! It was so interactive, fun, the stunts were great, I just loved how they got everyone on board involved in some way. The show was actually longer than I expected it to be which was great but you didn't even realize because you're so focused on the performance. After the show, we were brought downstairs for dinner. I had the chicken parm & my boyfriend had the salmon. He loved the salmon, I was a little underwhelmed by the chicken parm ONLY because the "spaghetti" that came with it, was asian fusion noodles. So I was eating two different kinds of ethnic foods that I felt didn't mix together well, the taste was still good though. During dinner, Georgie (one of the band members) was doing a live performance on their guitar. He was incredible, he played the drums, guitar, bass, ukelele, accordion & he could even sing too! After dinner we headed back upstairs to hangout as I get motion sickness & you could feel/notice it more downstairs. The band came back on, played a few songs and shot off fireworks! Then all of these interactive dances started where the pirates got everyone on their feet to enjoy themselves. At one point, we were doing a limbo in a conga line, while one of the pirates was pouring shots of tequila (to those that wanted it) it was so much fun! At the end the pirates asked where all on board members were from & ended up celebrating each county & bringing out the coordinated country flags for everyone to feel included. If you're in Cancun & have a free night, this is a must do excursion!!

A pirate tour with delicious dinner, fun, live music and guaranteed laughter. - I loved the experience, it is a good show, they sold it to us as being of better quality than Capitan Hook, a tour we have already been to a couple of times and we love it so we decided to try it and here are my conclusions: 1. In Captain Hook there is a battle between two pirate ships, not in Jolly Roger, since they only have one ship, they limit themselves to the show inside it. A good show, the pirates are all characters, friendly, good actors and actress, good audience management. They sell you that the show has fireworks, which I expected more, it was very brief. 2. The dinner menu, unlike Capitan Hook, offers octopus and turkey legs, in addition to steak and lobster, we ordered the Surf and Turf, which is lobster and steak, accompanied by puree and vegetables with VERY good flavor. At least this dish is a clone of what Capitan Hook originally offered. 3. The Capitan Hook boat is not very pretty, the Jolly Roger boat is much better and the schedule is spectacular because you get to see the sunset in the spectacular sea of Isla Mujeres. Their open bar is not high quality drinks, you yourself have to order the good drinks they promise. Example. My husband ordered a whiskey and soda and they gave him Black & White, but when he specified that he wanted something better, they offered him Buchanans and Black Label. Your waiters are pirates, we had Hunter, who is part of the show. Good waiter and excellent pirate actor. After the show, they have contests and I had to participate in a dance contest, showing the power of the rhythm that I have inside and I won🤣. My reward was the applause of the public and a bandana with which I was crowned pirate queen. Hahahaha, he leaves to tell the grandchildren and have them laugh for a while. The tour fulfilled its mission perfectly, fun, show, attention. The photo they take of you when you arrive costs 700 pesos, the souvenirs are also high priced and not of very good quality. We bought the photo, but we would have been happier if they put more effort into the shot and the quality. Something I did NOT like is that we gave our pirate waiter a tip of $500 pesos, but after a while he asked for more money. It didn't seem polite or correct to me and it was the only negative I have for this pirate adventure.

Wouldn't do this again - I saw a few comments about extra charges when you get to the boat. That's true. I don't know if it is stated on their website, but it is on the email confirmation after you've purchased the non-refundable tickets. It's considered port tax ($16 USD) per person. For our group of 6 people that came to $96 over and above the cost of tickets. This is bubblegum entertainment. If you're not picky about how you spend 3 hours and just need something to pass the time, this will fit the bill. Our family of 3 generations: 4 adults and two pre-teens, spent our last night in Cancun, thinking this would be a really fun memorable experience. While I don't have any real negatives about the show and dinner, it made us realize we are really good at creating our own enjoyable activities and would have been better off choosing something more meaningful. The best part was being on the ocean for a while and feeling cooler than on shore. Our 5 days in the Cancun area were scorching hot so we spent a lot of time in the ocean or our VRBO pool or inside with the AC blasting! To the credit of the staff, the actors put their hearts into the performance, the band was fun and our server Hunter was very attentive and accommodating.

Jolly Roger has moved... confirm the location before you travel. - The experience was overpriced and overcrowded. They booked a company event on top of the regular visitors. Their attention was directed to them, and not so much to the others on the boat. We were given the wrong location by Viator and almost missed the boat racing around in a cab trying to find it. If you book through Viator you need to do research to make sure you are being directed correctly.
