Ride with the convertible bus to the menhirs - The bus leaves from the visitor center. Price €7.00. Duration between 40 and 50 minutes. The bus is a convertible, the seats are comfortable. The headphones for the commentary are very good. I have never had such a smooth, clear commentary as here. Commentary available in 6 languages. The trip is informative, the accompanying text is very good and everything is explained in detail. The bus stops again and again so that you can take photos. The same offer is also available with the tourist train, but I personally prefer the bus, you drive on country roads with traffic, I would have a rather uneasy feeling about safety on the tourist train. The menhir fields are really impressive and when you imagine that these stones are between 4000 and 6000 years old, it is all the more impressive.

Practical for discovering Carnac - The practical side is that the bus comes directly to the campsite and you pay at the campsite reception. The driver is very friendly and the coach is well appointed. The sound wasn't great but that wasn't his fault. And I appreciated that he turned around so everyone could see. Driver attentive.

To do - Just perfect for discovering this historical heritage of our beautiful country. Visibility is perfect and so is the audio system. The headphones hurt the ears a little, but that doesn't interfere with the chronology of the story. To do

Carnac - The whole family enjoyed this guided tour of 3 sites in Carnac. The high position in the Convertible Bus is a real plus. Too bad we can't get close to the Menhirs, or even enter the park.

Mysterious stones - Nice. Clean bus and attentive driver. We had booked our tickets online and arrived much earlier than the booked time. We were allowed to take an earlier bus without having to ask. The explanation on the bus is clearly understandable and we stop at 3 places for the most beautiful photos.

Very Pleasant & Informative - Good online experience & location information. Arrived early & were invited to join an earlier mini bus, which we did. The bus driver was very friendly & English language headphone translation was excellent. Enjoyed the tour which gave more information than just the alignments & dolman which helped us understand the history & archaeology. Afterwards we viewed the sites by ourselves including the mill tower view point which gave us the best point for taking photos of the alignments.

An original way to discover the alignments of Carnac - Nice visit with audio commentary in headphones. The weather was ideal for enjoying the convertible side of the car... visit not too long to avoid overloading teenagers who are not interested in old stones...

Cold - The ride was made in the bus which was “open to the 4 winds”. It was very windy and I was cold. I preferred to take the bus ride than the little train because of the cold, thinking that the bus was like a normal bus with windows. It is equipped with tarpaulins which are raised 😞

Well, on foot is better - €7 per person, for a visit summarized in 15 real minutes. The open bus passes the sites for the first time, the people seated on the left can see. The bus turns around and goes back past the same sites so the people sitting on the right can see, and 3 short stops to take photos, but we stay on the bus, plus the ride into town, total trip 45 minutes. You can visit alone and on foot, just move your car from parking lot to parking lot and visit all around. Either we don't have the comments, but the audio guide comments aren't of much interest. We did the walking tour again and it was much better, we came back with lots of photos.
