Here we show you the old town of Salvador, the Pelorinho: The cultural places like the Praça de Se, Largo Torreio de Jesus and Largo Pelorinho. The famous elevator, the first governor’s house, the cathedral and much more of the city of Jesus, as the locals sometimes call the city of Salvador. Then we take you to a great restaurant where we can taste the local moqueca, the famous local cuisine, on the balcony of the restaurant with a marvelous view of the marina and the harbor. Then it goes on to kleien shopping spree through the old customs building and in the early afternoon back to your hotel

Discover the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, ‘Pelorinho’ in Old Town. We offer hotel pickups and drives to Pelourinho, or alternatively, can meet you at the Elevador Larcerda. Here, we explore the age-old streets, soaking in the colonial ambiance. Our tour includes visits to significant churches and spots of interest, including the home of Olodums Band, where a video with Michael Jackson was recorded. The trip concludes with a lift ride to a lower region where you can indulge in souvenir shopping.

TOP - day in Salvador da Bahia - highly recommended - Markus was our guide in Salvador da Bahia. Contacting him from Germany was completely uncomplicated and we quickly agreed that Markus should show us his Salvador. Markus is a great guide, very personable, knowledgeable about the area, competent and you can tell that he enjoys his tours.
There were four of us and Markus picked us up in his SUV. We visited the fort, the church of Bonfim, the lower and upper town, the lighthouse, the Mercado Modelo, the church of Sao Francisco and much more. On the way, Markus provided us with all kinds of interesting facts about history, the country and its people and religion. For lunch we stopped at a very nice restaurant with a view over the harbor. The local food was delicious.
Dear Markus, thank you very much for your time and an unforgettable day in Salvador.
