Trips into the South Island Mountain Ranges. - I should start by being clear, this trip was the second we experienced with NZSI this week. The first was a day trip to Arthurs Pass taking the optional train ride out and using their transport to return. In both case we were picked up and dropped off at our accommodation. First of all I should mention our guide/driver Anuj. He was very pleasant, mannerly, considerate, punctual and professional. The vehicles used were both modern, comfortable and well maintained. When we were picked up we were provided with a face mask, hand sanitizer, wet wipes and some candies. I could really write a great deal of both experiences but I really want to keep your attention. Anuj kept us occupied with his incredible knowledge of the towns and sights and stopped regularly for photo stops and the occasional breaks for coffees, lunches and shopping. There was never any pressure to hurry. I would definitely recommend this company and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Awesome tour - Despite the fact that when we arrived at Mt Cook it was cloudy and pouring, we had an awesome time. As we couldn't go on the 45 minute hike due to the weather, Anujk stopped at other viewing points/ outlooks and even a lavender field. Awesome guide - really knowledgeable and made sure to tailor the tour to our liking.

Great day around the mountains and lakes - Anuijk was our guide and was very accommodating to our requests to maximise walking time at Aoroka/Mount Cook and not visit the cheese factory at Geraldine. He was also able to give us advice about the trails which added to our online gained information. This gave us ample time to walk the trail up the Hooker Valley. The weather across the Canterbury Plain was wet but much improved around the lakes and mountains and we were able to stop at good viewpoints. We had many interesting discussions about NZ, UK and India and there were copious supplies of drinks and snacks. The good buffet at the Hermitage Hotel was all arranged with great seats in front of the picture windows looking out to the mountains. It was a long (0730-2100) but very worthwhile day out. Highly recommended.

Wonderful tour with wonderful guide - This was a brilliant day and would thoroughly recommend this tour. Prior to the the day of the tour, the communication from the company was very good confirming details and providing updates on the weather. On the day of the tour, the pick up was on time and we were provided with a selection on snacks (biscuits, crisps, nuts) and tea and coffee throughout the day. The guide/ driver was informative and helpful throughout the day. The scenery at the Lakes and Mount Cook was stunning (even in thick snow) and we also had extra stops a long the way. The guide/ driver also happy to take photographs and ensure the group maximised their time at each place. The lunch was very good and one of the best buffets ( not usually a fan) I have been to. High quality food and a good selection of hot and cold options Really excellent day

Incredible day that featured beautiful views, a delicious lunch and an incredible tour guide - My daughter and I had the pleasure of doing this full day tour, with our tour guide Anuj. First, the booking process was great with Parul giving prompt responses to questions I asked. Anuj, was a pleasure to be with the whole day, from the moment he picked us up, from the moment he dropped us off at the end of the day. He was incredibly informative and taught us not only about the places we were seeing but also general information about New Zealand. He catered to us in that he realized what we wanted to spend more time on and waited patiently until we were finished. The buffet lunch was delicious and plentiful. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see some incredible sights, and some nice hiking with an exceptional tour guide. Thank you once again to NZSI for the wonderful New Zealand welcome.

Educational and Breathtaking - At 7am Anujk, our guide, picked us up. Unlimited snacks and refreshments on the way, including hot drinks. Anujk had incredible knowledge about New Zealand’s history and geography that kept us occupied for the two hours to Geraldine, honestly could travel the whole of New Zealand with this guy, nothing he doesn’t know. Wine, cheese, jams, earthquake history, glaciers, restaurants, mountains, cities, local flora and fauna, he had interesting facts and figures about all of it. He’s also one of the most polite and accommodating guides I’ve ever encountered, and his car was immaculate. In Geraldine we stopped for the loo, and to sample some cheese from the local factory along with some Barker’s condiments. Both were excellent, bought some of both. Stopped at a couple of nice viewpoints on the drive to Tekapo, and by the lake itself next to the church. Incredibly picturesque, the lake was stunningly blue. After this we drove on to Lake ?Pukaki for a viewpoint and then Mt Cook Village, where we had an excellent all you can eat buffet lunch in the Hermitage Hotel. I can’t overstate how pleasant this was, a real Grand Budapest Hotel vibe with the great service, stunning backdrop and over 100 years of history. This was hammered home in the alpine museum, which especially focussed on Sir Edmund Hillary, and Anujk had already bought us tickets for. After this went on a walk to the Tasman glacier viewpoint just the southeast of mount Wakefield, which stands in front of Mt Cook. V easy and only took 30 minutes. Spent another 30 at the top as views are excellent, also some v impressive alpine parrots which were surprisingly social. After this we headed straight back to Christchurch. Anujk offered to stop but there was no need, and even dropped us off at a restaurant he recommended for dinner. Great day, worth every penny and the time.
