The Perfect Amount of Time - We actually booked a few tours while we were there and this was the best one! We booked for 2 pax only. Our driver/guide was there on time and we went to 3 different locations. Saw a school of sardines and lots of colorful fish. The boat crew was so helpful and made sure I, who can’t swim, had a life jacket on and he was near me the whole time. I felt very safe. Our guide strategically took us to each island before it got crowded and we started and ended our tour as stated on the tour package. Lunch was delicious, it wasn’t hot but it was delicious and we didn’t get any upset stomach. It’s actually one of the best meals we’ve had. I used my iPhone with a waterproof case to capture the pictures but I saw others rented GoPro cameras. Probably easier and better pictures. If you want lots of photos for the Gram, best you rent a GoPro as the boat crew will take pics/ videos for you. May need to ask the tour company in advance. Overall, really enjoyed it. A few notes, there is a comfort room on each boat but best for doing number 1 only. Make sure to do your number 2 business before you leave the mainland. No toilets on the islands.

Had a great time! - We had a lot of fun. The driver was very attentive, and so was the boat crew. Lunch was absolutely delicious, with a variety of seafood and pork/chicken and fruit.

Started fun, but be careful of the scam. - The tour started out great! We enjoyed snorkeling and got to see lots of fish. However, We fell pray to a scam. The boat captain allowed a local fish vendor to board the boat and offer to grill small pieces of seafood for us, which turned out to be at extortionate prices. (about 10 times typical cost for the area). This really put a damper on how we felt about the tour and the day. When we choose to book through Viator, our expectation was that we are paying a premium price for what we expect to be a vetted tour company, which would not allow this type of scam within their program. Viator really let us down on this one. In addition, although the tour stated English-speaking tour guide, there was definitely a language barrier between us and the crew, which contributed to the overall misunderstanding.

Poor offering for average snorkelling experience, bad equipment and overpriced - We were quite surprised and a bit disappointed that the tour operator only offered very low quality snorkel masks (too small for my friend) and that diving fins were not included. At the first snorkelling sppot we were offered to rent Fins for an on-charge :O. Having no proper fins included didn't help for the strong rips that had to be navigated in the 2 snorkel spots (we hoped to get 3 spots). It also seems that the tour operates at a snorkel track that is daily frequented by 1000 - 1500 people, all moved from one spot to the other, dropped in and then left to navigate between lots of new ships coming in or leaving ships going out. The quality of reef / corals was quite average, grey and rocky and the areas for snorkelling were fenced in too. Some nice fish are to be seen but overall and for the price of this offering we felt that we have been underdeliverd to.

Wouldn’t go - I’ve done a few different island hopping tours around Asia before and this was by far the worse. Nothing was explained to us during the entirety of the trip, on the last island our tour guide didn’t even bother to get off the boat to tell us the name of the island or anything about it. The islands that we got taken to were very small and purely for tourists so weren’t particularly interesting, you could definitely find nicer ones around the Philippines. The snorkel equipment was broken to the point where it was easier to use just the goggles without the snorkel. After the first stop, we got offered fresh coconuts which we thought were included in the experience they were not and they charged a significant mark up for these, they then tried to get us to buy more seafood to have with the lunch, which we refused. The lunch that was provided was was seafood which had been left out for about 6 hours in the sun and definitely wasn’t edible. The safety of the boat was also not up to scratch, the ladder to get on and off the boat was slippy and I fell and hit my head

A disproportionate figure for what is actually done - Unfortunately our trip had already started badly, they came to pick us up at the hotel half an hour late, then the driver took us to the wrong port so we wasted more time getting to the right one. We set off with two kids who didn't know English so they didn't say a word for the entire excursion, not even the names of the islands. The sea crossing in the rain and rough seas, we were soaked. We arrive at the first point where the fish should be and there was practically nothing. We moved to the second island and they even just made us go around the island without snorkeling. The third white beach island is nothing special, just fishermen selling and cooking fish for tourists but we haven't tried it. In all this only starfish that are everywhere here on any beach. Upon returning, having explained our dissatisfaction to the tour operator, we were told that they had done the best they could and that with the bad weather there were no fish to be seen (fortunately there was also an hour of sunshine throughout the morning). Wasn't it therefore appropriate to postpone the excursion or ask ourselves if we wanted to do it anyway? Not recommended given the very high price for being in the Philippines.
