Fantastic day trip! Highly recommend! - I cannot recommend this day tour enough! Comfortable bus, plenty of time to explore the sites, great lunch stop, and lots of history. Our tour guide, Alec, was extremely knowledgeable and gave great commentary for all the sites we stopped at. If you're looking for a great day trip from Dublin that will give you a chance to explore some Irish history and the countryside outside of the city, this is the trip for you!

Great historical tour - Very knowledgeable tour guide. Many great sites visited and enough time to spend taking in all the sites wish we could have done a inside tour of some places like the castle Met some great people

Fantastic tour! - This was such a great tour. Our guide, Derek Nixon, was friendly and informative.. The sites we visited were beautiful and full of history. Fair bit of an upward hike to the Loughcrew Cairn, but worth it, if you can manage it. Really enjoyed the trip.

Do this tour - Quite lovely.. it was cold, windy and rainy but so apropos for Ireland’s ruins! The greens of Ireland are indescribable. We met an Irish fellow playing hurling with his shepherd dog (named Shepherd). Amazing sense of ancient history and life.

Great tour with a lot of humor - Alec was a great guide with a lot of humor and knowledge. It was really interesting, just we could have had a bit more time for lunch ;-)

High views of the High Kings - The view from atop Cairn T at Loughcrew Cairns was the highlight of the trip. Breathtaking and worth the hike. The other sites were enjoyable to see as well. And the spot chosen for lunch was quite good. And of course our guide and driver were paragons of Irish friendliness.

Beautiful Day in Boyne Valley - What an amazing day outdoors exploring the beautiful Boyne Valley! Our guide, David, was a wealth of historical knowledge and really made each of these ancient sites come alive. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife and stunning views at all stops on this tour! Highly recommended to anyone wanting a nice day outside of Dublin city!

Hill of Tara - I have used Viator for all my travels and by far this was the worse. I have used Viator in Hawaii. Canada, Scotland, England and France and have never had the issues as with this particular courier and guide. First of all they arrived late which by the time everyone was checked in and loaded we were approximately half hour late leaving. The guide/driver spoke broken English and was very hard to understand. When arriving at our stops she had to read the historical facts from books or pamphlets. It was obvious she wasn’t familiar with all the information. She was very disorganized from beginning to end. What made matters worse you could tell she was unfamiliar with the van she was driving. Road the white and yellow lines often. At one time swerved from one lane to the next for no reason and I felt she was going to lose control. I was released for this tour to be over with. I would not recommend this particular excursion for the reasons listed.

Mobility impaired turned away with no recourse! - My husband and I, along with my 84 year-old mother-in-law arrived the morning of 5/27 for our tour. When the bus driver took one look at my mother-in-law using a walker to board the bus, he told me she could not come on the tour because we would hold the other passengers up. i told him that we checked with the tour months beforehand to make sure her mobility impairment could be accommodated. The driver insisted she could not do it and did not let us board the board or offer us a refund. He also did not provide us with an office to contact for another tour. He told me "Maybe you can go back to the meeting point and find someone else going to Wicklow and that would be better for her". I have emailed the company for a response and to seek a refund but have not heard back. Terrible experience for our very first time in Dublin! Would not recommend if you or your family have a mild mobility issue.
