Awesome visit to Delphi, the center of the world! - Traveling with a friend and neither of us had been to Greece before so it was important to see as many of the historical sites as possible. What a fantastic day we had visiting the monastery and Delphi. The monastery was not even on our radar at first but am glad we got to visit the monastery. The views were incredible and the ancient mosaic was incredible to see. Our visit to the Delphi archeological site was equally impressive. We had a fantastic lunch at a local restaurant in Delphi with a fabulous view. We were so fortunate to have an incredible driver and guide, George. Little did we know that we would have George for a tours on the next day. George was very kind, friendly, and so incredibly knowledgeable. We really enjoyed spending not one but two days with George. There were only two of us on the tour and our car was a Mercedes E class--super nice and comfortable ride. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

Step back in time -- A monastery nestled in the majestic mountains of Delphi - Our day started with a drive expertly navigated by our tour guide, George. George was wonderful! What a kind, knowledgeable person. He was also flexible regarding our stops and what we wanted to prioritize in terms of background history and information. We travelled with our two adult sons and everyone agreed that the day in Delphi was the best part of our two-week trip to Greece. We also visited ancient ruins in Athens and hiked Mount Olympus on this trip. On the Delphi museum and monastery trip, you will visit one of the best museums in Greece -- the Delphi Archaeological Museum -- which is operated by the Ministry of Culture. The design of the exhibits is excellent. The ruins of the Temple of Apollo are transcendent as they are nestled beautifully into the mountains. You can feel the history and nerd out on all the details provided in the museum or you can simply hike around the hills. This is definitely a day for walking shoes and layered clothing. We ended the day at a local restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Thank you, George!

Delphi Tour - We were very happy with JG Athens tours. Our driver Apo navigated the roads well, provided us with excellent information and a video of Delphi in the car. The Loukas Monastery was very interesting and there was a wonderful shop in the grounds. Delphi and the museum were excellent, we had no formal guide there which was our choice. App then took us to an excellent restaurant in the town of Delhi where the menu was extensive, the food excellent and the views beautiful. Post lunch we stopped at the temple of Athena before returning to our Athens hotel. A long but excellent day.

A great day trip to Delphi and surrounds. - Nikolas was terrific. His enthusiasm for Greece is undiminished even after many years in hospitality and tourism. He takes the route less travelled, with unexpected and enriching stops along the way. Punctual, an excellent driver and warmly welcoming. Excellent day.

A very educational and fun day in Delphi and Hosios Loukos - George picked us up at our hotel in Athens at 6:30AM because we were keen to visit Delphi early. He is super knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology - the 2.5 hour drive in a very clean, luxurious car was a fantastic preparation for our visit. We had a much better understanding of the site, it's historical meaning and it's position in ancient Greece. He even had a short, informative video on an iPad for us to watch during our drive to Delphi. 'Armed' with the fresh knowledge, we enjoyed Delphi even more. Being in Delphi shortly after the site opens is also highly recommended and we really appreciated the willingness of JG Athens Tours and George to help us get there early. The setting of the site in a gorgeous landscape is equally impressive to it's rich history. We visited Hosios Loukas Monastery after Delphi. Also a most impressive and beautiful location. Again George told us the history of St Loukos and the monastery which helped us appreciate the visit more. We highly recommend JG Athens for it's customized, private day tours and their extensive knowledge of the sites. A most friendly and knowledgeable driver with excellent language skills, a nice, comfortable car - all to organise the day exactly as you prefer.

Best wat to get to Delphi and Hosious Loukas - My friend and I travelled to Hosios Loukas Monastry and Delphi with Tholos. He was an excellent driver with a comfortable air-conditioned Mercedes. He was full of knowledge about the area we passed through and shared alot of information about the history of Greece and the figures of Greek Mythology and their stories. He also toousto see monuments to Greeks murdered by the Nazis. A fascinating day. We employed a guide through this company to take us through the Delphi museum and archaelogical site. Definitely worth doing. Overall a great day. Thanks

A Remarkable Day in Delphi - We had an extraordinary tour of Delphi and the Hosios Loukas Monastery with JG Athens Tours! George picked us up from our hotel in Athens in a comfortable Mercedes van, and he gave us loads of historical information as we drove to our first site, the monastery. George showed us a video as we drove, and was a font of information. At the monastery itself, we were free to explore this remarkable Byzantine structure, built in the 10th century. At Delphi, we were met by a trained guide who took us through the site and museum. It's a magical place! After the tour, George took us to a local restaurant, where we ate a bountiful Greek lunch, looking down on gorgeous views of the mountain and sea. The drive back was breeze. What a treat to spend the day in this way! I highly recommend JG Athens Tours!

Nice person who provided a education and safe trip - Firstly we were pleasantly surprise how John organised our tour: he arrived promptly, provided water, gave us interesting information about each site to be visited and give us plenty of advice. He was very patient when we were late, gave us option about our lunch. We felt very safe in his car. John has a lively personality and made it a very pleasurable trip. He did not mind too much when we were late returning to Athens. Absolutely brilliant trip!!!

A brilliant “Classics Trip” in Greece. - My family group arranged 3 1/2 days of separate tours from our holiday base in Athens. The aim of our tours was to see as many archeological sites as possible to support my son’s ‘A’ Level Classical Civilisation studies. We managed to visit Delphi, Eleusis, Corinth, Mycenae, Epidauros and Olympia in our time with JG Athens Tours. John, our driver and company owner, was prompt every morning at our apartment to pick us up. He always greeted us with a cheerful welcome and was happy to chat to us throughout the drive. I was really amused when he told my son to put his phone away and enjoy the trip! John has a good knowledge of the sites we were to visit as well as the rich history, politics and culture of modern Greece. He supplemented the information he shared with various documentaries that he played on his tablet during the journeys. As we arrived at each site he gave us clear instructions about where to go for entry and where to meet after we were finished. At no point did he show anything but good humour about the time we spent at each location. We certainly got our money’s worth at each archeological site and it’s attached museum. As well as being an extremely convenient way to travel to each location, John also ensured that we had sufficient comfort breaks as we travelled to our destination. His recommendations for lunch were inspired, particularly the excellent restaurant that we visited in Delphi. Overall, we were delighted with the service that we got from JG Athens Tours. We were able to customise the tours to suit our needs, including finishing one of our tours at the airport so we could fly home. John was flexible during the tours and was happy to rearrange the schedule so that we could maximise our time at the sites. He offered little extras such as visits to memorials that commemorated the Greek victims of WWII. As well as being unfailingly cheerful and good company he was also genuinely helpful to us. After we left Athens he delivered a key to our apartment host that we had mistakenly failed to return. This was in no way his responsibility but he did not give this favour a second thought. We very much hope to visit Greece again in the near future. Of course, we would not think of anything other than hiring JG Athens Tours the next time we are there.

Amazing tour - George the driver was a wealth of information. He arrived on time and immediately made us all feel very comfortable. The tour was very flexible suited to our needs and travelling with kids, it was at the perfect pace. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and felt very safe at all times .
