- Doi Saket - Our driver will meet you at your hotel at 0800. Today you will visit the organic coffee farm Suan Lahu in Doi Saket district.\nAfter arrival at Suan Lahu, you will be received by your native hosts, who will brief you on Suan Lahu and organic coffee growing. \n- Suan Lahu Organic Coffee Farm - A local Lahu guide will take you around the 80 rai (12 hectares) coffee plantation of which 60 are planted with Arabica coffee and fruit trees. Forest makes up for the remaining 20 rai. Views are amazing.\nHaving seen lychee, lemon and avocado trees, amongst others, you will have time to engage your first volunteer activity. This will keep you busy until lunchtime. Enjoy a vegetarian, home-made lunch prepared by your Lahu hosts. \nAfter lunch, you will visit the Lahu Sheleh community, an ethnic minority. We will show you some old pictures of the Lahu from yesteryear and show you around Doi Mod, the community located next to the organic coffee farm. After this, we will head back to the farm for the afternoon’s activity which can be one of your choosing. You can join local villagers working at the farm on a seasonal basis, or support Suan Lahu project founders in their natural and cultural restoration activities. At around 16:00 you will say goodbye to your hosts drive back to Chiang Mai.

This is a wonderful and enriching day in the mountains of Northern Thailand. This private tour takes you to a unique coffee plantation, north of Chiang Mai. The local Lahu tribal people run this plantation which is called Suan Lahu. Whilst here you will learn everything about growing organic coffee. You will taste this delicious coffee, help out at the farm and visit the Lahu village where most of the workers come from. You will learn about Lahu culture and history. This is a great way to understand more on the local people and to see the mountains of Northern Thailand.

Green Trails is Amazing - We hired Green Trails for our trips to see the hill tribes, they are so good, their logistics impeccable, their tour guide Ja is a pleasure to work with, she is fun energetic, she knows everything and she is so cute and fun!!
Franz knows the region like the palm of his hand, the transportation was amazing, we got to really know the real Thailand and I would do it again and again. if you are looking for an amazing company this is the way to go.
