Good tour to learn history - Our guide, Neftali, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Picked up at hotel on time. Answered questions thoughtfully. Gave a good sense of the history of Durango. Spoke pretty good English, although my hearing isn't good, so didn't catch everything. Would recommend this tour.

OMG Durango... amazing. - It was our first time visiting Durango and not sure what to expect... but excited nonetheless. I decided to buy tickets for this tour and by far this tour has been one of the best tours we have been a part of. Mr. Neftali Edgar is a great storyteller, he knows the history of his home state (Durango) - and knows a lot of the history of Mexico. He took take care of us and really made us feel welcomed, safe and entertained. Really happy to have taken this tour with Coyote Tours. Oh, and he also knows everyone to the sites we visited, to that really made a difference on how people greeted us :-) Thank you Mr Neftaly for the stories, for making us admire more our beautiful country and in particular the capital-city of Durango. PS. His significant other traveled with us, she was awesome, caring and great company during the tour.

Satisfied but not wowed - The city of Durango is a architectural wonder. Here buildings seem to be restored and re-purposed and not destroyed . The bus trip was okay though the bus was well worn but our view from the first seats on the upper deck could only have been improved with a window cleaning. The driver made an exception and allowed a small dog in a carrier to be taken aboard in the cabin. This however caused problems when attempting to purchase tickets back. Therefore eventually had to find our own way back. Thankfully I had a few connections in Mazatlan and hired a 5 seater taxi to pick us up. A lot more money but got us back safely. Thx Ricardo. Our hotel I the historic center was clean, welcoming and a museum of antiquities. The Pasada San Augustin, pet friendly and highly recommended. However, don't reccomend the room service as meals prepared down the street and cold when delivered. No microwave in facility. Coffee provided all day. Do NOT recommend the Chinese buffet just down the street from the hotel. Though many locals seemed to enjoy it, i found most of it inedible. Hotel beds comfortable, lots of hot water. The city center is clean and walkable as long as you have mobility issues. Sidewalks blocked by trees and wheelchair ramps lack smooth elevation. The city tour was adequate but less than expected. Small van, no AC. Edgar the guide and driver very knowledgeable of history ofthe city. Driving and using Translate app at the same time caused a few OMG moments. Definitely a different experience than from whence we came, Mazatlan. Reccomend a 3 night ,2 day visit.

Not at all what I expected - The tour guide Edgar was on time, very knowledgeable historian, attentive to detail and very personable. That deserved a 3-4 star rating. Other than that I would only give a 2 star. He was also the driver of the guide vehicle, a Mini Van (Coyote Tours) which lacked air conditioning. Only adequate seatng for three people. The second back seat was difficult to access, especially for seniors and uncomfortably warm. Not at all what I would expect of a touring company. I should have paid closer attention to the ad that stated "moderate activity required " . Having some mobility issues I had trouble keeping up on the walking portion of the tour. Which was much farther than the 2-3 blocks he claimed it was. Beware if you expect more do your research before booking with Viator.

Don’t book with TripAdvisor - My tour was canceled as I was waiting at my hotel to be picked up. It wasn’t until I called the tour company that I found out the tour had been overbooked. I will not book another tour with TripAdvisor
