Embark on a journey to the picturesque coastal town of Famagusta, coming close to its internationally renowned fenced and sealed ‘Ghost Town of Varosha’. Optionally tour the Monastery of Saint Barnabas, the founder of the Cypriot Orthodox Church, and the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis. Then we’ll move to Famagusta’s old town centre to explore the Venetian Walls along with the Gothic church of Saint Nicolas and Othello Castle. Our final halt will be at the beach right next to the ‘Ghost Town’, featuring a long expanse of golden sand met by transparent water - a perfect spot to relax following the day’s exploration. Entrance fees for the St Barnabas site and Salamis can be paid separately during the tour (only cash, 6 euros). The return to Ayia Napa and Protaras is expected around 5 pm, whereas the return to Larnaka is around 6 pm.

  • Bring sunscreen and hat, swimming suit and towel
  • A current valid passport is required on the day of travel (European Union Citizens are allowed to use Identity Cards - For other nationalities passports are required. Only original documents will be accepted at the checkpoint - no photocopies are allowed.
