Wonderful educational day! - It was a fantastic day. Luis picked us up at the hotel. From there we went to pick up the others. First we did the boat trip on the Arade River. We learned many things about life on the water, bridges, salt extraction, etc. After the boat trip it was jeep safari time. The international group had a very nice time. Luis was a very good guide, he took the time to let us enjoy the views and to take pictures of the area around Monchique, visiting a beekeeper, making the medronho, the history of cork extraction etc. Thank you! Recommended!!!

Absolutely epic full day tour with fantastic plentiful food and wine, excellent company and you are well looked after!! - We booked a tour, may husband, sister and I, we were greeted by a very funny and friendly guide, Ricardo, who explained everything to us and let us know the plan for the day, introduced all guests to each other and was super considerate to us all which was really nice, we had a little hiccup where our boat stopped working but they got us another one and swapped us over no drama at all, he was very informative and worked very hard to give us all historical information and kept it flowing and interesting, we were then dropped back to Ferragudo for half hour, just enough time to relax and have a drink, then Ricardo was back to pick us up for the keep ride! That was fabulous! Some crazy off roading to get our hearts racing and some beautiful scenic stops to learn about the Monchique mountains, the plants and the culture, we stopped off at a cute little traditional honey and medronho making farm where we learned some more history and got to try some traditional Portuguese wares and buy some too, we then went to a traditional restaurant and had a superb traditional 3 course meal with wine and water, the whole thing far surpassed all of our expectations!! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an action packed full day of learning about truly important Portuguese history and facts!! This has to be the best tour operator yet I think!!

A great and very interesting experience, definitely worth it - A fantastic experience overall thanks to some great guys who clearly love and feel proud of being from the algarve. Very polite and had a great crack with them especially one ‘chicken George’. A fantastic group of people who were along with me too. The guides went into such great detail about everything to do with the tour. Would really recommend if you’re visiting the algarve!

Should be called Fantastic Day! - Picked up at 09.00 hrs by Jorge in a Jeep. Off on tour into the "real Algarve." Met up with Ricardo and his clients in Portimao. All into a speed boat and off up the Arade River. Ricardo explained the history of Portimao, which was very interesting. Then off in the Jeeps into the hills of Monchique. Most of this part of the tour was through dirt tracks, which were steep, narrow and winding. Parts of the trip was like being on a Rollercoaster, sometimes it was heart in mouth, but good fun. Jorge kept talking about the local history as we drove around the hills. Stopped for lunch in a restaurant near the top of the world. More Fantastic views. Then off again around the hills with more stops with locals. The tour was very educational and interesting. Finally dropped back at our hotel at 17.30 hrs. A Fantastic Day, fun filled, interesting and finding out about the Algarve behind the tourism. Both Jorge & Ricardo are Algarve born and bred. They are very passionate about the algarve. One of the best tours we have been on and excellent value for Money. Thank you Portitours. Well recommended.

Outstanding day in the mountains and on the river - We booked on trip advisor as so many good reviews and was not disappointed. Picked up from the hotel taken on a jeep tour of the mountains and a sensory trail of different plants and fruits grown in the Walter stopped to pick eucalyptus, mint and lemon leaves to smell which was delightful. We visited amazing view points and learnt so much along the way from our knowledgeable guide Walter. We went to a distillery, honey maker and cork tree orchard. We had a fab lunch and then a tour on the river and again lots of stories of the old fishing villages and history. They dropped us off at the beach for a cold drink at one of the beach bars and collected us in the keep to go home. Just a perfect day in great company and outstanding guide in Walter. Thank you for a lovely day we can’t believe what good value for money the tour was!

Super Day - Our guide and driver Ricardo was superb for our ‘super day’, he was so knowledgeable and funny. His driving skills certainly came to the fore when we went off-road.

Jeep safari and arcade river trip. - Brilliant day highly recommend. Great drivers , totally knowledgeable and very funny. Take you off the beaten track and even go to a farm which makes modronia ( fire water ) .

Superday was really a Superday!!!! Jeepsafari tour and Arade River Cruise!! - In june 2023 we've been on the Superday Tour with Portitours. Our guide was Richardo. We would really recommend this trip! The combination of the rivercruise and the jeepsafari was perfect and we had a really good guide. And if you want a trip that's fun and if you want to experience the authentic Algarve this is your trip. We had a great day and have seen flamingo's on the water, a farm, beautiful nature on the mountain, we have learned a lot about the culture of the authentic Algarve, and recieved a really nice lunch. Fun - Our tour guide, Victor was excellent. Nice variety, and the things to do during the day which kept it interesting. The only issue I had is sitting in the back part of the range rover was pretty uncomfortable for the time we spent in it it’s not a real seat. It’s a jump seat.
