Additional Information
We begin our journey from Funchal towards Pico do Arieiro, elevated at 1818 meters. Following our stop, we head through Ribeiro Frio, encased in the lush Laurissilva Forest. We then embark on an exceptional off-road adventure leading us to Santana. Here, we visit one of the oldest private triangular thatched houses, which were a habitat for the local community for many generations. Next, our stop is the Guindaste viewpoint where we stand on a floating glass platform (Free) that provides captivating views of Ponta de São Lourenço and the spectacular Eagle Rock of Porto da Cruz. Our following destination is the stunning Golden Sand Beach near the Machico marina for a two-hour swim in pure, transparent waters and a meal break (meal not included). Our final stop is Pico do Facho, offering one of the most amazing vistas of Madeira’s east coast.

Amazing tour de Madeira - This tour was amazing, the views from all the stops were just breathtaking. Our guide Jill was an excellent driver, plus very friendly and he also provided us with so many interesting facts about the Madeira island as such. Overall, it was a fun, interesting trip, including the off road drive. Definitelly recommend to everyone.

wonderful adventure with tour guide Chris - The tour through the east of Madeira is very varied and worth seeing. We especially liked the off-road section and the lunch at the trout pond. Chris was a super guide, his English was excellent and clearly understandable, just as well we could talk with him German. He was very skilled in handling the jeep. The tour is varied and goes up to one of the highest points on the island. We had unfortunately not so good weather and were glad to have warm clothes with us. The levada hike was a welcome change and led us directly to the trout farm. We can only recommend this tour.

Great day out. - What a great day out on the 4x4 Eastern island tour. Rui was a great guy his English was excellent and he was very knowledgeable about the island. He could certainly handle the 4x4 very well and we felt very safe with his driving. It was a varied day with a drive up to one of the highest points in the island. Take warm clothes and waterproofs as it was cold and damp in the clouds. We did some off roading and a levada walk all good fun. Lunch was at a trout farm and you could catch your own trout for lunch if you wanted to. After a great lunch it was off again for more lovely views over the island. All in all a great day and would recommend the trip to anyone.

Great adventure - We had a wonderful time with this activity. Part of it was luck with the weather but we also had a great and very funny guide. Going offroad was great fun, but my highlight was fishing my own fish at the Biosphere Reserve. I would definitely recommend taking the fish and also bringing a jacket with you as it gets quite cold at the mountain top.

This trip was again very nice and interesting. - I found the off-road drive and the hike on the levada to be the best. The visit to the fish farm and lunch was also good.
For me a bit of plant knowledge, but otherwise a nice experience again.

The most amazing experience of our lifes. - Loved the off road experience and the raw beauty of the forest and Hui was the most friendliest person we have ever met, very engaging.
Plenty of stunning photo opportunities on the way to the top of the island and a welcome lunch after a 30 minute walk through lush forest.
Fantastic value for money.

Great trip and guide - My favourite part was Rui the guide. He was full of great facts and knowledge and had a great sense of humour. He was attentive to everyone's needs and may the whole day so enjoyable. Catching and eating our own fish for lunch was a tick box exercise for my wife who thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Fantastic tour made even better by our excellent driver and tour guide Rui! - Probably one of the best tours in Madeira made even better by our excellent driver and knowledgeable tour guide Rui. Rui not only gave us information about the places we visited but also the islands history, vegetation, and other places we may wish to visit on the island. Rui took us to amazing view points, off road tracks and trails and on a beautiful Lavada walk. Other companies my offer this type of tour but this company deliver everything they advertise and much more. I would highly recommend this company for any of the tours they offer and if you get Rui as your guide it will be a huge bonus! Rui you really made our day special!!
