Safe, varied 1st rate tour - John our guide was smart , intellegent and very knowledgeable. His English was faultless. The vehicle was modern clean with Aircon. John had a great depth of local knowledge was an enthusistic guide who ensured we left Port Elizabeth far richer than when we arrived. Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent Tour - Where do we even begin? We were a group of friends who had all been to Port Elizabeth before. We wanted to do something new, different and informative. As well as to taste local food. This tour was all of that and more. The food was delicious too. Our guide Kagisho also known as John was incredible. Super friendly, laid back, kind and knowledgeable. This man had so much patience and always wore a smile. Port Elizabeth had long been a town that many simply pass through. This tour is worth spending an extra day for. This City is going through some exciting changes. Also because the Afroventures crew will make sure to show you a good time at night too. Make sure to stop in Port Elizabeth, go on their Addo Elephant National Park Safari and be sure to include this tour on your itinerary too. Thanks for making us fall in love with Port Elizabeth again Afroventures crew.

A good tour experience - Freddy our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The van was almost brand new and comfortable. It’s not really a walking tour as that is not safe, but a mini bus tour of the main historic sites of PE. A city of rich heritage but being allowed to decay.

Informative Tour - Enjoyed seeing the main sights of Port Elizabeth and our tour guide was friendly and informative. Slight snafu at the start as we booked 10am and another couple booked 9am for the same tour so we were asked last minute to arrive early which wasn’t convenient. Otherwise a great experience.

Better value than cruise company excursions. - Port Elizabeth is limited although our guide Freddie did a good job showing us around. I would suggest the tour start in the city centre and the Campanile is shown at the end on the way back to the port, otherwise you are stood under a flyover talking about something not currently available along with crime rates and the scary role of taxi drivers in the city - there are surely much better introductions! In the end PE's historical buildings, pretty views, old fort and new 'road to freedom' landmarks and mosaics are well worth a visit. This tour is very good value (especially against cruise company excursions) and Freddie kindly drove us right back to the ship rather than making us walk.
