Great day in tropical rainforest - This tour is a guided loop walk through tropical rainforest. Even though I could do only a part of the trail, it was great. We started a breakfast, then went into the forest by tram and continued walking up to mouintain rainforest. After lunch, I went for a walk with a guide again to see more. I enjoyed whole day, it was very relaxing to spend time in the reserve and to be able to see many birds species, capuchin monkeys, sloths, fruit bats, butterflies, beautiful trees and tropical plants. The guide was experienced and knew the forest very well. It was great that he was able to adjust the tour to our interests. It felt like a private tour (only 2 participants). I highly recommend this tour, especially to anybody who loves nature!

A great day trip. After an early... -
A great day trip. After an early start we were taken to the rainforest centre about an hour from San Jose and given a very nice breakfast, followed by a trip on the aerial tramway through the canopy. Then a hike through the forest in the company of two expert guides, who were extremely informative and interesting about everything we saw tapir, toucans and other birds, butterflies, and an incredible variety of trees and plants. Then lunch and a swim in the river and a hike back to the tramway. The walking is fine for the most part, though you need to be steady on your feet roots, wet leaves and after lunch there's quite a steep climb back. It's hard to think of a better way to see the rainforest.

Elite Tour Excursions - Our tour guide Sergio did a good job sharing some of the history of Costa Rica on the way to the venue and once we got there. Although there was no breakfast offered as stated in the excursion description. Also, it was stated that we would visit a river to do some swimming, but since it was raining I figured that would not happen. In saying that, I did not see any river for this activity to even take place, so this is another potential aspect that is mentioned and was not included. I also would have liked to see more wildlife in a rainforest, but we only saw an anteater.
