Our journey begins in Visnes, where a miniature version of the Statue of Liberty stands proudly, representing the island’s connections to the world.
Following that, we go to Åkrasanden, an internationally recognized Blue Flag beach known for its pristine sands and transparent waters, offering splendid photographic opportunities.

Our primary stop is Skudeneshavn, an alluring village located at the southernmost point of the island. Amble around its traditional streets and lanes, stepping back in time.
While there, enjoy the quaint pleasures of The World’s Smallest Cafe or discover the unique blend of past and present in the architecturally diverse town center.

The tour concludes with a visit to St. Olav’s Church, a historical beacon dating back to 1250, which has guided devotees along the St. Olav’s pilgrimage route. Experience the serene allure of this spot, where history, spirituality, and natural grandeur intertwine.
The journey ends with a return to the cruise terminal, along with a collection of unforgettable moments and breathtaking photographs.

  • The number of booster seats (infants seats) are limited so it is always a good idea to bring one just in case.

Highlights of Haugesund Tour! Fantastic! - Had a fantastic time with Alphonse today! He was super knowledgeable, giving us great insight to the history of Haugesund as we traveled throughout. The tour was fantastic, making 4 different stops. Each stop was very different!! 1. Haugesund’s own Statue of Liberty… did you know the copper that made the original Statue of Liberty came from Haugesund? Thanks for that tidbit, Alphonse! 2. Akrasanden - absolutely beautiful beach! 3. Skudeneshavn - picturesque little town with an “old” and “new” side. Explore both, so beautiful! 4. St. Olavs Church - make sure to hear about the tale of the troll and the curse! So interesting! All in all, a wonderful day filled with great information, and a driver that navigates very narrow roads like a pro!!

Enjoyable tour around the area - We spent a very enjoyable few hours on this guided bus tour with Elphonse as our guide and Gard our driver, (apologies for any misspellings). The tour included 4 stops, all offering toilet facilities and photo opportunities. Elphonse is knowledgeable in his history and made the tour fun and interesting and we returned to cruise ship in plenty of time. I highly recommend this tour and Viator booking was quick and straightforward.

Excellent tour for an easy introduction to Haugesund & surrounding area - I had booked our trip some time ago. Meantime & due to a leg injury my wife is using a wheelchair. I contacted Tina & she assured me that there was storage within the bus for the chair. First worry sorted 😁 I wondered if the tour would be wheelchair friendly too. It was. Second worry sorted. Alphonse was our guide he provided an excellent commentary throughout. Providing historical & local information about each area we passed through & stopped at. Haugesund & nearby islands has lots to offer. We had chosen well? Third worry sorted. Many thanks Alphonse

Interesting tour with very pretty stops - We chose this bus tour because following a leg injury I can ‘t walk far . The stops were all at beautiful places and the guide Alfonse was a mine of information about the history and life in Norway. The company was very efficient- we booked online and they were waiting at the terminal as soon as we got off the ship., and arrived back promptly. The bus driver was very kind in ensuring I got on and off the bus safely. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see and get to know about the area.

Exceptionally interesting Guide - Drove through a lot of 'ordinary' Norway which gave us a glimpse of day to day life and roads. All the stopping places were interesting, tho' stopping times were short. The (German-born) guide on the coach was exceptional. We learnt so much and he really made the trip for us.
