Snorkeling Ixtapa Island - Luis was a wonderful tour guide. He was very informative, funny and helpful. He led us on a short hike on Ixtapa island and stayed with us in the ocean while we snorkeled, telling us the names of the fish and making sure we all stayed safe. After lunch, he showed us crocodiles, iguanas and native birds in their natural habitat. He spoke excellent English and we learned a lot on the ride to and from our destination. We would definitely hire him again next time we are in Zihuatanejo!

A genuinely perfect day - Luis was top notch! He took us to Ixtapa Island and made special stops both there and back, that made the entire experience more rich. Luis had his son by his side and the young man was the kindest and most helpful young man I’ve ever encountered in Mexico! We would recommend Luis and a day in Ixtapa Island 500 million times!

Best way to visit Ixtapa Island. - So enjoyed our trip, especially Luis sharing his knowledge as we loved learning about the wildlife and the history of the area. His experience made our trip easy and fun. We were originally going to the the trip to Ixtapa Island on our own, we are happy we chose to go with Luis de la Maza (it was also great to have an air-conditioned van to take us back to our hotel after a long hot day in the sun)

Passionate Tour Guide! - Had planned to go to Ixtapa Island on our own, but we are so glad we chose to do the tour with Luis. Having his experience (and an air conditioned van) made it more enjoyable. His passion for the area and sharing knowledge is very evident. We would highly recommend any of the tours he offers. Thanks Luis!

We had the best trip ever!!! - Luis and his team were wonderful tour guides. Our group booked airport transportation with them to begin with but ended up booking 3 excursions during our trip: a food tour, a fishing charter, and a snorkeling day on Ixtapa Island. His team went above and beyond for us and contributed to our group having one of the best trips ever! I highly recommend Luis and his team!

Not what I expected - This was not what I expected. We were picked up and taken to the island. Make sure that you bring tip money because everyone is asking for money. The island itself is not being taken care of. There are deserted buildings and unsafe structures, and most of the island is off-limits. You must stay in the restaurant areas. Which is very crowded. There is not much space to enjoy a peaceful lunch. The snorkeling is busy and cloudy. There seemed to be lots of sand stirring up that day. We never got a tour of the Playa Linda as promised. The tour operator seemed to be in a rush and he skipped that part of the tour. Next time, I will just stay at the resort or try out a new beach.

Not worth the money! - I was sick, my 2 sisters went. We were expecting our tour operator to be Luis...and saw many good reviews. He was not able to attend and had someone else do the tour. It was nothing like they expected. Just sat on the beach most of it.
