Highlights
  • Wadi al-Mujib - The Siq trail is graded as an easy-to-moderate, roughly 1.25-mile (2 kilometer) route through the canyon, suitable for a self-guided trek.

On arrival, go throw the visitor centre at Mujib Bridge, and either follow the trail independently, or the driver accompany you.

Admire the canyon, with its sandstone cliffs towering above the river bed, and take the cantilevered walkway over the dam. Then, follow the river as it weaves between the rock walls, absorbing the tranquillity and timeless scenery.

Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, you may need to walk through the river shallows and pools - some at waist-height - as you head upstream; all welcome chances to cool off. There are also two or three places where you’ll need to climb up rocks using metal ladders or ropes, or scramble over boulders.

After about an hour, arrive at the waterfall at the canyon end. Admire the 59-foot (18-meter) cascades, take a rest, and if you wish, swim in the natural rock pool.

Amazing Tour! - We had a great experience with Al Rayan Tours. Both Mohammad and Monther were super helpful and showed us the best parts of Wadi Mujib (Siq Trail) and the Deadsea. Me and friend, thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Great trip - Had a wonderful trip from Amman to Wadi Mujib. Went at the end of the season and the water level was lower but the current was still fairly strong in places. Enjoyed the adventure of scrambling up ropes, around rocks, and up ladders to the final waterfall. Water was warm and life jackets were provided. A very beautiful canyon. My driver was Mohammad. He did a great job and was very gracious in answering all of my questions to help improve my understanding of life in Jordan. Thank you Mohammad

An Awesome Day - We were able to contact Al Rayan Tours through WhatsApp when we arrived into Amman. The replies were always prompt. The driver was punctual and friendly. It was 1.5 hours drive from Amman and the driver pointed out places of interest along the way. He showed us where to pay for the permit and answered questions that we had. The hike was very beautiful. We highly recommend Al Rayan Tours.

Great adventure - Brilliant day of adventure with my daughter. A lot of fun. Our driver Mohammad from Al Rayan tours was very helpful and polite and gave us useful tips regarding the trip. This experience involves some swimming in strong currents, climbing ropes across wet rocks and climbing ladders. Extremely fun but make sure you're wearing grippy water shoes and leggings/ long sleeves to help avoid any scratches etc. a waterproof phone case ( we rented from the site JD10) too so you can take pictures along the way with a strap to keep around your neck) The experience itself was amazing, you start walking through ankle high water and enjoying the canyon around you. This gradually gets more tricky as the water rises and parts involves swimming but there are always ropes to help you if you need. The trial takes some time. It ends with a big waterfall you can swim behind and the way back is more more fun as it includes a couple of slides. There are employees along the way ready to assist you if needed. I want to mention one if them- a boy called Qais Nawasrah. He was extremely helpful with my daughter, she couldn’t have done it without his help. He also took some great pictures and videos of us, so i want to express my gratitude to guy. I recommend this adventure to everyone who visit Jordan

Disappointed - It was too physically demanding and if someone would have been injured there would not have been a way to help them.
