Boudhanath Stupa - Boudhananath is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. It was built in 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, famous five-storied temple of Nyatapola in Pagoda style Batsala temple, Bhairavnath temple, Duttatraya temple, Pujari Muth and Palace of 55 windows.

Drive to Pokhara (900 m) in a Tourist Bus - 7 hours

Pokhara - Our trekking staff will pick you up from the hotel at 6:30 am and escort you to the tourist bus station. The bus to Pokhara leaves at around 7:30 am. A beautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara is also known for its panoramic views of Annapurna and Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west and Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu, hence providing the perfect starting point for our trek.

Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) - 4 hours

Tikhedhunga - We begin our trek at Nayapul after an hours drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015 m), a large village with many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495 m. After a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570 m. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region.

Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) - 5 hours

Ghorepani - We move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070 m. The trail ascends more gently from this point, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons, towards Banthanti at 2,250 m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m. After an hour walk we arrive at Ghorepani (2,840 m).

Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) - 7 hours

Poon Hill - Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hike to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3,210 m, a brilliant mountain range spectacle; this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour and returning to Ghorepani, we take a hot breakfast. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests, towards Deurali (2,960 m). After that, we descend to the Banthanti, then turn off to Tadapani.

Trek to Chomrong (2,140 m) - 5 hours

Chhomrong - The day starts with a steep downhill through rhododendron forests. Leaving Tadapani, we descend through the forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people. From here it is an easy walk to Chomrong at an elevation of 2,140 m.

Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) - 6 hours

Dovan - Today the trail drops down to the Chomrong Khola and again we continue climbing to Khuldighar at 2,380 m where there used to be an ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area) check post. There is a clearing in the forest a little further on, from which, the route travels very steeply down a rock bank, then levels out, running through thickets of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We walk through bamboo and rhododendron forests to the Himalayan Hotel.

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) - 7 hours

Annapurna Region - Today the trail climbs on past the Hinko Cave, Deurali and then Machapuchare Base Camp, which isn’t really a base camp since climbing Mt Machapuchare is not permitted. Since it is totally surrounded by mountains, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours trek from Machapuchare Base Camp takes us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at elevation of 4,130 m. There, we will view unobstructed views of mountain scenery, which is very spectacular.

Trek to Bamboo (2345 m) - 6 hours

Machhapuchhare Base Camp - We follow the same trail down today. The trail drops by 1,700 m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2,345 m where there are a few teahouse/lodges available to stay at.

Trek to Jhinu (1,780 m) - 5 hours

Jhinu Danda - We follow the same trail until Chomrong. Once we have passed Khuldighar, there is an experimental sheep farm. The trail continues through rhododendron and bamboo fields. From Chomrong, the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu, where we can bath in natural hot springs.

Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m), Drive to Pokhara - 5.5 hours and Guided Tour of Barahi Temple and Fewa Lake

Pokhara - From Jhinu we walk at the right side of Modi Khola for 4.5 hrs to Birethanti which can be considered one of the best and the most relaxing walks of the entire trek. We reach Nayapul. Then an hour drive will take us back to Pokhara.

After we check into the hotel, we will then walk to the Fewa Lake for our boating trip to Barahi Temple.

Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Tourist Bus - 7 hours

Kathmandu - We will be driving back to Kathmandu in the morning.

If you are interested in extending the trip, there are many options such as Chitwan jungle safari, river rafting adventure, Kathmandu shopping tour, mountain biking and other activities.

In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.

A memorable trek never to forget. - My Daughter 26yrs and myself 67 yrs Completed the 19day Annapurna Circuit. It was a wonderful trip. Breathtaking scenery quaint teahouses with warm friendly local Nepalese people that always made us feel Welcome. Ace Himalaya were so professional and well organised company they prepared us for the journey. The Guide, Raj and Bishal the porter were nothing but amazing, they always had our safety first. Raj was an experienced guide with a wealth of knowledge of the trek itself, walking in Altitude and had a sound medical knowledge. He was always bright, cheerful and willing to help nothing was a problem. He was a pleasure to be around. Bishal was sweet young man and always helpful, kind and attentive to our needs. Both Raj and Bishal go the extra mile to make our trek all the more enjoyable. We thank them both dearly. I have no hesitation in recommending this trek and Ace Himalaya. It was a holiday to remember always. Jill Sagar 2024.

Up and Down the Himalaya - Enjoyed 3 weeks of an action packed vacation with my son, which first led us to cultural sights in Kathmandu and Pokhara and then to a 9 day trek which started in the jungle region and went all the way up the Himalayas to the Annapurna base camp (4130 meters above sea level). This was all expertly put together by the travel agency WeDesignTrips in Austria and, in cooperation with them, by the team of Ace the Himalaya in Kathmandu. We are now on our way back from the trek to the city, and I am impressed by how professional all was handled: they even provided a Whatsapp group with round the clock assistance just for our trip. A special shout-out to our trecking guide Ramesh Karki and his assistant and porter Shailendra Lamichhane. I appreciated how thoughtful Ramesh selected routes and guesthouses, and how much care went into safety and health throughout the trek. Overall, a great experience, a challenging trek, a wealth of impressions.

10 Day ABC Trek with Ace the Himalaya - I’ve trekked with Ace the Himalaya twice - first to EBC 10 years ago (shout out to Raj who was my awesome guide back the!) and the ABC trek which I just finished a few days ago. From the initial booking to airport drop off post trek my experiences both times have been incredible. Prem has built a wonderful company that is staffed by friendly, professional and knowledgeable people that are a joy to engage with. My ABC guide Dipesh was absolutely the BEST! He went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, healthy & having a good time. I highly recommend him as a guide. He’s super fun while also maintaining a professional attitude. Perfect combo! Our porters Amish, Shailendra & Sitaram were excellent. Overall it felt like we were a cohesive team enjoying a great adventure together. Important Points: 1. Communication is prompt and I felt well prepped with all necessary information prior to both treks 2. They are accommodating and do everything in their power to ensure you have a safe & enjoyable time 3. While both treks went smoothly for myself and my group I did meet someone who had a health issue that required immediate medical care while at high elevation and they said the Ace team took incredible care of them and got them off the mountain with haste & ease. It’s so important to know you are in good hands! 4. The guides and porters make you feel comfortable, safe and go out of their way to ensure you have the best possible experience. I am already planning on a third trip with Ace the Himalaya to Island Peak! If you’re on the fence this is your sign to just do it! Nepal is incredible and Ace the Himalaya will ensure you have the trek of a lifetime!

ABC with Ace the Himalaya. - Excellent customer service as usual by Ace. This is my 3rd trek with them. The Guide Dipesh spoiled us with chicken dinners so we can eat meat during the trek by buying live chickens. He also made sure to adjust our itinerary so we can do our paragliding activity. The porters Amish, Sheilandra and Setaram were equally awesome!. Took good care of our gear plus always on time to give them to us and always very courteous. During mealtimes, Dipesh and the porters were always ready to make us comfortable. ABC is a difficult trek but we had such a great time and the views and the trails were spectacular! Will be repeat ACE customer for sure!

More than I expected!! - First time trekker. I didn't know what I was In for other than 9 days of hiking. It was so much more than I expected. More of a challenge, longer than I thought, more beautiful, more of an escape, more of a bonding experience. It goes on and on. I am happy I got invited and that I made the trip. Our guide, Dipesh was an Instant friend and the porters were excellent, watching and taking care of us all the way. The website provided all the info you need. I made the mistake of not bringing a simple wind breaker. Remember, it's cold, but your body is working and generating heat. We were already talking about making our next trip to EBC. Enjoy, I did. Thanks ACE!!

Amazing ABC trek with Ram guide - We reached khatmandu on Thursday night March 7th, Well received by Ram guide and team. They explained all the guidelines of the trek, what to eat, what to wear, how to manage whole trek giving us the tools and equipment. We had wonderful trek for 4.5 days up and 2 days down. We had 4 adults and 4 teenage kids. Amazing views from green Minh rain to snowy mountain. All the weathers we have seen. Overall a great experience. All this was possible only because of the Ram guide and team. Everything was taken care of in the facilities we had in those tea houses. Seeing the pace of adults and kids, what interests and where to stay etc. kudos to the team they way they handled whole thing. Once we came down to Pokhara, my husband had to rush back to Singapore due to some issue back in Singapore. Ram guide and team arranged the ticket to khatmandu immediately and sent him to airport and that was smooth without much of complications. We ladies couldn’t carry our bags in the trek so guides only handled that. Even trek from MBC to ABC all the ported came along as support for each person. That was a surprise for us, and the final trek was smooth. At the heights some of us were not feeling well, but the support was great. Always ready to help. It felt like a family than another company taking care during the trek.
