Going that extra mile to make the Ring shine - We took the Ring of Kerry Private day tour on one of the most beautiful Saturdays in May. While a big draw for us was just the scenery in general, one of the particular points of interest for us was to get out to Valentia Island to see the Tetrapod Trackway, because those little fish with feet are my oldest Irish ancestry. Thing is, that's not the easiest tour to find, either on its own or with the RoK included. And even when it's mentioned, not everyone will do it. Enter Joe. It was a busy, beautiful Saturday, and he happily showed us the sights as the RoK is all about the scenery. We stopped to see a sheepdog demonstration, which was great, some ring forts and generally beautiful views toward Dingle. Then we turned off at Port Magee and went over to Valentia Island. First of all, what a wild place that is. The RoK itself of course has some wild spots between the cliffs and valleys and all that in between... but Valentia is something else entirely. I did not think places like this could exist in the same small patch of earth. There's waves crashing on exposed rock (that have 370 MILLION YEAR OLD FISH FOOTPRINTS. WITH TAIL DRAGGY MARKS.) There are clumps of grass and dianthus and mud and gravel and clay falling from the shoreline that sure LOOKS like it should be dunes but it really isn't, it's clay and gravel and mud and dianthus and grass, that holds back walls that hold in cattle that look like they belong in such a rough environment but you still wonder how they move around without breaking their legs, and finally there are houses and small roads and a quarry on top of it all. And I believe that not every tour company would take you out here even if you asked... but Joe did without question (he also said not many folks ask. It is a steep but well maintained walk. And it's amazing. People, go talk to Deirdre and Joe at Killarney Executive tours and let them know you want to see these foot prints. For real. They're magical.) The Ring of Kerry is magical, Valentia is a gem on the edge of it, and Joe was a phenomenal guide. He was patient, had a wonderfully comfortable van, he knew what he was doing and where he was going, and my parents were bushed by the end of the trip and he dropped us off right in front of our self catering apartment at the hotel, which they appreciated.

Amazing Tour! - I am so glad I decided to do a private tour of the Ring of Kerry instead of taking a bus. I got to see so many small out of the way places and drive on remote roads at my own pace. The scenery was amazing and the guide/driver was so kind. I loved every moment of the tour. The Kerry cliffs, “Ladies View and the Waterfall being my favorites. But I also loved just driving through the mountains on the narrow roads. What a beautiful experience.

If possible, book a private tour of the Ring of Kerry - Pat was our guide for our 7+ hour private tour. He understood that we wanted to avoid the trappings of heavy tour bus areas and took us to Skellig and other sites only accessible by vehicle. More than anything, we chatted with Pat and listened to his teachings of Irish past and present history. We asked him lots of questions and he kindly answered them all. We’re so happy we opted for the private tour!!

Loved the private tour! - We did a private Ring of Kerry tour in a car with Sheila and we loved it! Sheila was a great driver and a lovely person, and the nature of the private tour was that we could stop anywhere we wanted and spend as much or little time at each spot as we wanted. The views were breathtaking and the car was extremely comfortable. Some places along the way were closed since it is off-season (such as a planned ice cream stop), but the off-season lack of crowds was a net positive for us! Glad we did the private tour and would definitely recommend it!

Comfortable, relaxing, at your pace. Loved the experience! - We chose to do a private tour after looking at miserable-looking group tour photos online. Tim was our tour guide/driver. He was so pleasant and warm and kind. It was relaxing and comfortable and took about 4 hours total. They provided hotel pickup and drop-off which was so convenient. Tim was very open to whatever we wanted to do. He suggested certain things, and if we didn't seem interested, he skipped them. I loved the areas he took us to, especially the very cute town for lunch. One thing that was missing was more verbal history/info as we drove. It was a very quiet drive and I guess I was expecting more information and history of areas as we saw them. We are a quiet group though so maybe he was just reading the room :) Still a beautiful day and a very scenic tour of the Ring of Kerry. But yeah, if i could offer constructive help to the tour company it would just be for the guides to say more, give more background and history of the locations as you go.

Honeymoon Highlight!! - I would recommend this private tour to anyone. Totally worth the extra money spent. It was one of the highlights of our 2-week honeymoon. Cass was the best and took us places the buses couldn't get to. She was very knowledgeable and lived in the area. I can't express enough how happy my wife and I are that we booked this trip. She picked us up straight from our hotel and was accommodating to every need we had. If you can find a way to put this into your travel budget, you will not be disappointed! My sister saw some videos and photos we had posted and immediately booked a trip with Cass for this spring!! This trip made the honeymoon of a lifetime much sweeter! Thank you, Cass!

Awesome tour and guide! - Our tour and tour guide, Anna, were excellent! The car was comfortable and Anna had suggestions of stops to make. She also accommodated our requests for a few places to see. She was absolutely terrific! So sweet and informative! We would highly recommend this tour to everyone! She even gave recommendations of places to go that evening after the tour was over. Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Wonderful tour - Despite a few hours of bad weather and a detour due to construction, we had a wonderful time. Our driver and guide Kevin was interesting and fun and able to adapt our route and schedule seamlessly. The small coach is comfortable and we had only a dozen or so in our group. Deidre was very helpful in setting up our pick up and always responsive. Highly recommend.
