Highlights
  • Koh Tao - Koh Tao is pretty much the archetype of a remote tropical island, with just enough places to eat, shop and stay to make it comfortable. There are few attractions other than the beautiful beaches. The island is home to some of Thailand’s best coastlines, with pristine white sand, nodding palm trees and glittering blue seas. There are many to choose from, most of which are accessible along the small and rather rough road network.

Other than beaches, there are a few very nice viewpoints that are worth seeing, some of which are so iconic that they might even be the first thing you think of when you picture Thailand. Koh Tao is also famous for its diving, which is said to be among the best in the world.

  • Nang Yuan Island - (2 Hours) Koh Nangyuan is actually a group of 3 tiny islets off Koh Tao’s northwest coast. You can get to them by Royal Mariblue one day trip. The beach that links the islands together is iconic and probably the most photographed part of the area. Naturally, the small beach.

(1 Hours) Japanese Gardens On the incredibly beautiful island of Koh Nang Yuan you will find the amazingly beautiful bay known as Japanese Gardens. So called due to the rich variety of coral and underwater fauna to be found spread over a large bay, here this dive site is the perfect place to either refresh oneself.

(1 Hours) Sit back on the boat for and included delicious buffet lunch white overlooking Nangyuan Island and Mango Bay

  • Mango Bay - Mango Bay, also called Ao Muong Beach, is an fenomenal beautiful bay in Koh Tao with very good snorkeling opportunities. On both sides of the bay is coral and of course there are colourful fish swimming around. For snorkel lovers Mango Bay is therefore highly recommended! The beautiful beach is on the small side of the bay and is surrounded by lush green hills and boulders.
  • Ao Hin Wong - Hin Wong Bay is one of Koh Tao’s top beaches when it comes to snorkeling! At a depth of one meter you already have a chance to see large schools of fish and the water is super clear! You can go with Royal Mariblue. At Hin Wong Bay you can snorkel from different places.
  • Aow Leuk Bay - Aow Leuk (or Ao Leuk) just has everything you could wish for a wonderful day at the beach! On the sides of the small bay you can snorkel super good. To see the many colorful fish you only have to take 3 steps in the water. It is therefore also suitable for children or the novice snorkeler.
  • Shark Bay - (1 Hour) Shake Bay Koh Tao is a popular snorkeling spot for watching blacktip reef sharks and turtles on a tropical island.

(1 Hour) Enjoy the fascinating sunsets that are the ones we share with BBQ dinner.

Amazing Snorkeling Tour - This snorkeling tour was just amazing! We started by doing snorkeling in the Ko Nang Yuan where we saw a couple of black tip sharks. We then saw turtles as well, near shark bay. The whole tour was very well organized, with a small group so we could better enjoy it, many snorkeling sites (so many we skiped the last couple of sites) and always super well accomoanied by Two, or tour guide that would snorkel with us and try to find interesting sea life for us to see. The food on the boat was also very good and they took a ton of pictures with us swiming with the turtles and fish which they shared after as a souvenier. We would definetely recommend this tour!

THE BEST DAY EVER - We booked onto this tour after researching snorkelling tours in Koh Tao, many were 550bht but huge boats with many backpackers! We had THE BEST DAY EVER, with the fantastic crew of the Royal Mariblue. They picked us up from our hotel on time (another couple were late and they picked them up later and dropped them off at the pier!!). After a quick information collecting 10 minutes in their office, we were taken down to the boat. We went to the famous viewpoint, they looked after our belongings whilst we snorkelled, the tour diver never left us when snorkelling. He showed us the turtles, baby sharks, nemos! What was particularly amazing, was that he helped my mum (who has never snorkelled in her life), to be able to join in! He took underwater photos and videos, which we are hoping to receive by WhatsApp soon. The food was fantastic, huge lunch and delicious sunset BBQ skewers on the roof of the boat. All members of the crew were fantastic, from the lady who cooked and made our virgin mojitos, to a very smiley driver! We avoided bays when they were too busy with other tour groups, meaning we felt like we had the entire of Koh Tao to ourselves! You can by beer on the boat for 80bht which was wonderful for sunset. All in all, the best boat trip and money we have ever spent on an excursion. Thank you so much, don’t hesitate to book this trip, you wont forget it! Note: you don’t need trainers for the hike. Don’t bother bringing a book, far too much to do! Bring spare contact lenses in case you lose them in the sea Wear factor 50 after every swim or a T-shirt as you get burnt They provide water! No plastic allowed on the island Get them to help you with your mask before you get in the water if you are a beginner as once you get in, your all off searching for sharks!!

Nice experience - It was a really nice tour and because the group was kept so small it was even more relaxed. Our guide and the whole crew were super nice and helpful. You should still be aware that some of the excursion destinations are also popular spots for other tourists. Unfortunately, this means that in many places this is visible in/on the coral reef. Tourism leaves its mark everywhere and yes, we also contributed to this. Nevertheless, it was a nice experience.

WONDERFUL - This is the trip you wanna do if you don't want to go on a party boat. It was so so peaceful and the people onboard were so lovely as well as the crew. WORTH EVERY PENNY. So glad I didn't chose one of the cheaper ones. Loved, loved, loved this. And the beautiful drinks in the end was just a berry on top.

Amazing Value for Money - We had such a good day out on this trip! All of the crew members on board were super helpful and friendly, they couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a good time! Our tourguide was very knowledgeable and had alot of experience in the water so we felt like we could trust him. Lunch was really good too, there was so much food and a great selection. We saw lots of different fish and coral. The highlight was seeing a baby shark and a huge turtle! This is a must do if your in Koh Tao!

Magnificent day - very nice day. There were 18 of us on the boat, after a "pick-up" from hotel to hotel of different clients (who laughed at us for an hour) leaving at the end of the morning. We tour the island with stops at different diving spots. Nice meal at lunchtime and grilled skewers at the end of the afternoon. We return a little before dark. The whole thing is nice despite the somewhat imposed "military" side... Timing, following the group... This feeling is I think due to our guide's English problem... this makes his speech very "military" ... On the other hand, take your equipment, especially the fins, because there are none on board and to snorkel it is not easy without... The masks provided are correct. On the other hand, 1 kayak taken by guide n°2 and 2 SUPs not great.... It remains a great experience, because we go around the island and see lots of things... The crew is nice even if he doesn't speak English... Except the guide.

Snorkelling instructor worryingly disorganised and aggressive - DO NOT go if you’re not a confident snorkeller - We have been snorkelling in a few places and this was by far the worst snorkelling trip. The instructor we had wasn’t much of an instructor, provided 0 guidance and safety instruction. His name was Too. He insisted the group remained together in the water at all times and became very aggressive if this wasn’t the case. I am not that much of a confident snorkeller, I received 0 instruction and when I took a while to reach the group, Too was super aggressive about why I was a bit late. The snorkels were really cheap and kept letting water in so going a few metres underwater was not safe. When I first got a safety jacket, Too did not even help fit it on which was deeply concerning. The food was really bad, not fresh and we couldn’t eat it in fear it would make us sick. The trip also went on for a really long time and the group was exhausted by the end. I would not recommend this trip at all!
