Great charming place! - This was a great tour! We had David as a tour guide. He was super nice and answered all our questions. He got us to the main attractions and back to the cruise ship on time!
We were able to visit Lake Bled and take a boat ride to the island. The boat ride was about 30 minutes and then we had about another 30 minutes on the island. The island has a lot of steps to walk up; however, the island was charming and had a café up on top.
We then had a chance to go to the Castle which was near the lake. The Castle was beautiful and had great views! There was a lot of walking up steep hills! Wear comfortable shoes!
We then traveled to Ljubljana, where we had free time to eat and shop. The town was very charming and there was a lot of good food options and the market. We highly recommend this tour!

Great excursion, needed more time in Lake Bled as we visited island/church but didn’t have time to visit castle - Lake was beautiful, recommend going to island. Ljubljana was charming. The van was comfortable. Wish we had more time in Lake Bled.

Best Part is The Lake Experience - Even though this was a small group (19) the guide tried to make everyone do the same thing at Lake Bled. 6 of us requested we be allowed to go to the lake, which was slot of fun.
You can rent a 4 or 6 passenger rowboat (40 euro for 1-1/2 hours) and experience the lake on your own. That was not presented as an option.
Recommend if you take this tour to insist on experience. Conversely the castle is 12-15 euro each and is just one view.

This was a very rushed tour. - We rode a van for 2hrs from Koper, and then got 45min to get to the island in Lake Bled and explore the church, including the boat ride to and from the island. There was a lot to see on the island, the church, a museum and a tower to climb. We were so rushed that at the museum we had to take pictures of the descriptions to read later. Never did get to the tower. Then back on the bus to drive to Ljubljana, approx 1hr drive. We had more time there but we only had time for lunch and had to get back to the van for the ride home, not much time to explore the Old Town.
Lake Bled, the island and Ljubljana were interesting places to visit, the church on the island has so much history and is very beautiful and very ornate. The museum was interesting. Old Town Ljubljana was beautiful, but just didn’t get a lot of time to explore the sites. If you go, anticipate a lot of drive time to and from Koper and minimal exploration time.

Okay - Lake Bled was very scenic but somehow we ended up viewing it from a castle which required walking straight up a very steep slope. Lovely view but unexpected walking. The tour description said we had a choice to walk around the lake, take a boat to the island for an extra fee, or a funicular for an extra fee. No mention of a castle for an extra fee. Then in Lubjliana we were given free time for shopping. No mention of this in the tour description either. Not needed for us so we are lunch and waited for the rest of the group. It was a nice day just not what was expected.
