- Preah Khan Kompong Svay - Also known as Bakan Svay Rolay, there is scant historical information regarding Preah Khan Kompong Svay. French researchers have posited that its inception dates back to the 11th century, likely under the reign of Suryavarman I. It served as a royal abode in the era of Suryavarman II, and Jayavarman VII is known to have resided there prior to reclaiming the capital, Yasodharapura, from the Chams in 1181, during which time he also enhanced the complex.
Located approximately 170 kilometers from the city of Siem Reap, the journey to this site offers picturesque views, meandering through agricultural lands and the modest villages of the Khmer people, many of whom have not ventured beyond their local confines or into a city. The site is accessible from Siem Reap by car.

And this Visiting Koh Ker Group can be included in this trip but you will pay your own ticket extra at your own account.
The beautifully restored Prasat Chaktomuk at Preah Khan Kompong Svay is one of our favourite sites. The 10m statue of standing Buddha, facing four directions, is the only one remaining in Cambodia.
