The hill is also an important historical site that offers interesting insights into Selangor’s fascinating history. One of the main attractions of Bukit Melawati is the presence of silvered leaf monkeys and long-tailed macaques, which are provisioned by tourists. The silvered leaf monkeys at Bukit Malawati are habituated to humans and sometimes willingly touch and climb on visitors approaching for food. Attractions also include a tram ride, a royal mausoleum and a museum.

By 19:45Hrs, proceed to firefly Park jetty to board the boat. The trees along the riverbanks which can only see the silhouettes of in the dark on both sides are filled with thousands upon thousands of twinkling fireflies like stars in the night. When they say that these fireflies make the trees look like Christmas trees, they aren’t kidding; why, at this moment it feels as if Christmas has come early!, Admire the beautiful display of nature in awed silence, with the swishing sound of the water gently lapping against the sides of the boat breaking the silence. Great trip. Fireflies just ok - The visit was great. For my daughter it was the best part of the trip. However the best parts were not the fireflies. Batu caves are amazing, interacting with the silverleaf monkeys and the food were amazing. The fireflies did not seem much more that what you would see in rural Maryland.

Best tour ever. - This is the BEST TOUR!!! The Batu Caves are spectacular, we also saw temples, made friends with hundreds of monkeys, had a delicious Thai dinner, went on a boat ride to see the fireflies, and impromptu added 2 additional trips to feed the eagles and see the bioluminescent bay. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Batu caves and firefly dinner is highly recommended - The Batu caves are worth the 272 steps up, what a wonderful experience! The firefly dinner and tour was something different and recommend. Our guide Shah was the stand out, he made us very comfortable and was friendly and professional.

Great tour great guide - Great tour saw some wonderful sites and our driver (Lee) was really great. He has so much knowledge about everything from the buildings to flora & fauna what grows on what trees etc and how it's harvested and life in Malaysia in general. If you are coming to Kuala Lumpur and need a guide ask for Lee he's the best

Tour guide wonderful; monkeys not so much - Tour guide Helmi was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with him. Only downside: I got scratched by an aggressive macaque at the Batu Caves and had to visit the ER the following morning for a rabies shot! Watch out for the crazy monkeys!

An enchanting day - On a long layover at Kuala Lumpur airport, it was an incredible delight to spend the day with my driver Sha who took me to see some of the most amazing sites. Sha was kind, warm, funny, and an incredible companion for the day. I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Sha.

Not so good experience - I was expecting a group Tour, but it was a private Tour. The tabaco smell in the car for me is a no-no. I was also expecting a Guide, but it was more of a Driver. Good Driver, polite, but with no knowledge about the Tour and a less than basic English… we were lost in translation during six hours.

only worth approx £30 each not £75 that we paid - we were take to the Batu caves where the driver couldnt park so we had to get out & walk, then try & find him later, also he said we only had 40 minutes at the caves so were very rushed, we could have done with 90 minutes there, then later in the day we had almost 2 hours to have dinner ( which was a very poor standard)
