Great way to see the sights without having to fight the traffic! - The trip gave us just what we wanted. The ability to hop on and hop off at various sites in Hollywood and Santa Monica. We were able to make a day of it with extra time at Santa Monica Pier and still back in time to enjoy Hollywood blvd and the sights there. Drivers were very nice and it was great to let them fight the traffic and just enjoy the sites! Would recommend them if you are looking to tour these areas.

Listed times - We found that the listed times were not correct. According to the brochure we were 7 minutes early for our bus at Vine and Melrose. We waited over an hour, and caught the last bus of the day. 😬

LA Bus Tour - This Hop On- Hop Off tour came as a free add on for our trip to LA. We had such a great time! We started at the Dolby Theatre, which meant we could spend some time at Mann's Chinese Theatre beforehand, enjoying all the film star hand prints & Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then we hopped on the Red Line which took us through the city & into Beverley Hills. Then changed over to the Yellow line so we could go explore Venice & Santa Monica. Fantastic day, good commentary. Easy to find pick up spots. I would have given 5 Stars if the bus hadn't broken down on our way back to Beverley Hills. Fun & great way to understand the layout of this sprawling city! On a separate note, I highly recommend spending time in Venice, really cool vibe!

Recommend red route only - Not too bad. We did the red route which showed us what we wanted. We also did purple route which was a waste of time and money for us. We got off at farmers market which is a foodie place then got a Lyft back to hotel rather than waiting for this bus as takes so long in traffic looking at nothing really

Good way to get an overview of LA. - We always use Hop On Hop Off buses, as we find they are a good way to get an overview of an area. This particular one had 3 routes. We got a 48 hour ticket & did them all over 2 days. If you don’t want to get off at any stops, you could do them all in 1 day. A few negatives, compared with other hop on hop off tours: 1. These don’t run until 10.20am ish, & don’t run much after 5pm, whereas we prefer to get on one by 9am & have an option to use them until at least 8pm, to make the most of the day 2. They only run every hour, compared to some which run every 15mins. This limited us to how we spent the days & we had to study the timetables intensely to plan our day. One day the bus was over 40 minutes late, so this messed up our next part of our day.! We appreciate that traffic is really bad in LA though! 3. Some of the headset ports don’t work at all & most were crackling , so these do need an update. All in all, a good way to see LA though & we recommend using 6 buses.

Reasonable, safe way of seeing Hollywood. Could be better though - We only did the tour around Hollywood (red route). One driver (with an incredibly deep voice) bothered to reiterate what the stops were, which was more helpful than the actual recorded tour (so thank you to him) - was really noticeable when he wasn’t driving. Reasonable way of seeing around Hollywood/getting to Beverley hills, however as the closest it can stop near to Rodeo Drive is 5 blocks, felt it wasn’t as helpful as most trips of this type. Also only ran every 45 minutes, simply not regularly enough to use as a way of getting around. Would wholeheartedly recommend the farmers market stop though!

Disappointing - Wasn’t ’up to par’. Write up indicated we could just ‘stay on’, but we were told we had to disembark so driver could take his lunch break. We were shuffled between 3 buses, taking many more hours than we had planned for. Used another company tour the following day and it was stellar!

Disappointing service - Was left waiting for 30 minutes past the allotted time only for the late bus to stop for a brief moment before leaving without 4 people including myself. We were all briskly walking towards the bus who pulled up further than where we were standing. Due to an injured knee I am unable to run so was most disappointed when we had to wait another 30 for the next bus. Another company passed us multiple times while we were waiting . The tracker on the brochure also was not a tracker but instead just went to the website. Why the misleading information? Having a 48 hour ticket I was not willing to use this service on the second day. Most disappointed by this company.

Poorly narrated and hop... - Poorly narrated and hop on and off locations are to far away from sites. Driver was rude and not informative at all.

Rudest customer service from the driver - One of the worst tours I have ever been on. The driver was so rude and patronising, he needs some major training in customer service. I am not sure why his attitude was the way it was but he just seemed miserable and thought it was ok to be sarcastic to almost every customer that came onto the bus. He started off trying to tell my 3 year old that he would get wet in the bus as there would be floods of water coming inside which partly scared him as he kept asking “mummy is lots of water going to come inside the bus?” The driver wasn’t clear with instructions and when he indicated Rodeo Drive was on the right myself, my husband and 3 year old got up to get off and he proceeded to shout with “where are you going man!! If you had listened to the commentary you would hear that this is not the stop for Rodeo drive!!” He then kept going on about it further, talking loudly trying to embarrass us in front of the other customers on the bus. I put it down to him simply having a bad day but seeing his attitude throughout the day just told me his personality is just miserable, not sure why he has such a big chip on his shoulder. I would try TMZ/Big bus tours over this company as the people there seem more approachable and happy!! The service was not what we expected and 3 days later I still feel frustrated at the way he spoke to me and my family, never experienced something like this before, especially as we’re always so polite to people, it’s a shame it wasn’t reciprocated!
