Q - E-bikes were very good, the guided route downloaded to the phone worked extremely well. The villas are interesting and lunch in Montecarlo at La Piccola Enoteca was a highlight. The trip back goes through fields at times!

Bike is the only way to go at Lucca - A great way to see Lucca. We prebooked and picked the bikes up near the station and they were very easy to ride. You sat upright and had a rack on the back and basket on the front. A bell and easily adjusted seat. We had simple locks to secure them while we had lunch. The wall at Lucca is over 4ks long and the streets inside Lucca are long as well so a day trip is made all the better by riding a bike. No gears on the bike so they were easy to ride for us grannies. I had a bad hip so I was able to see all of Lucca!! Take your passport as ID is needed, they photograph it. A map of the bike trail is provided- laminated securely to the front of the bike. No need for an electric bike in and on the walls of Lucca as it’s pretty flat.

A great way to visit Lucca - We parked our car in the nearby parking lot and decided to rent it for the day. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to get to know Lucca comfortably.
We took the recommended route, but we parked our bikes every now and then and explored some of the streets on foot. It was a perfect combination for us.
I can recommend it to everyone, even if you're not that fit. It's easy and can be done without much effort.

Luca the must see jewel - Great way to see the beauty of Luca at your own pace.
The city has great bike paths and plenty of spots to park the bike.

The best way to see Lucca - As per other reviews , this was a delightful and no hassle experience . Lucca is beautiful and this is the best way to see the small town. Parking was easy beside the train station and the staff were very helpful and friendly . The map on the bike was adequate to navigate but if you need more detail go online. We had a picnic on the walls which are as wide as a main road with plenty of green spaces to shelter from the midday sun.

Absolute BEST place to rent bikes in Lucca! - This was easily one of the most wonderful activities we did in Tuscany. Communication was Andrea before our arrival was incredibly responsive, patient and kind. It took just moments for our group of 6 to be fitted with bikes. The ride around Lucca was spectacular and drop off was instantaneous. We highly recommend this well-stocked, well-run and welcoming place!
