Chacchoben with Charlie! - What a great excursion! Our guide Charlie was AMAZING! Made us feel so welcome and kept everything fun filled and safe! Stopped at a roadside market for some of the most fresh pineapple and mango we’ve ever had! I 10 out of 10 recommend choosing this excursion and Charlie!

Family Mayan ruins excursion - I cannot begin to thank Charlie and Arturo for their wonderful professionalism and overall care for my family on this Mayan ruins shore excursion. My, oh my, Mayan Ruins - Charlie, our guide, was very knowledgeable. My mom was in a wheelchair and he took real good care of her.

Must see - When in Costa Maya. it's about an hour from the cruise terminal. Amazingly kept, great walk around and not too hard. My parents who are older had a great time (lots of shaded area). the last bit (the 2 temples, moon and sun) were too steep climb for them so they stayed back. with Costa Maya Experience company, it was small group of 6 people very attentive very relaxed no rush. Great tour. only 1 thing is sometimes difficult to hear inside the van.

Private CHACCHOBEN Mayan Ruins Tour - The tour to the ruins was great! So nice having a private tour for all of family. The vans were air conditioned and comfortable. Israel was great to work with. I was able to reach out to him a few days before the tour with questions, and on the day of the tour to let him know we were running a little bit behind schedule. The tour itself was nice! We loved seeing the ruins and the surrounding jungle area with all the monkeys. I would recommend it!

Mayan ruins and great tour guide - We had a great time at Costa Maya with this company, we arrived on Carnival Valor and we were very excited to see the mayan ruins, they did a great job organizing this excursion, we were a small group of only six people so the experience was very personalized, they brought drinks in a cooler so we were never thirsty and at the ruins or guide Mike was amazing with lots of information about the history and the culture of the mayan people, after the ruins they took us to a road stop to try some fresh pineapple which was delicious, finally they dropped us off at the port on time to get back to our ship. I highly recommend booking with them.

Amazing Mayan Ruins but is Only Transportation, Admission, and Private Tour - Phenomenal Mayan ruin tour, but a bit misleading with the "What's Included" portion. Eco Experience sent helpful directions on how to get from the ship to the meeting point, which was a relatively easy walk. Once we met the Eco Experience representative, he had a whiteboard with my name on it confirming we were in the correct spot, he put us in a cab and we left. He did not tell us the cab was taking us to the ruin or any other details. We just got into a random cab with no information and unfortunately, we did not speak Spanish and the cab driver did not speak much English. Fortunately, the cab driver was able to inform us we were headed to the ruins, but we had to ask him first. The drive was about 45 minutes and once we arrived at the ruins, the cab driver went to the visitor stand and got our tour guide and tickets. A huge relief since at this point we had no idea what was going to occur on this tour. Marie was an incredible guide! It was only the 4 of us and the guide, making it our own private tour. We had plenty of time to explore the ruins and learn all about them. It was a great feeling knowing we had our own private tour while the big 80+ people cruise tours had to struggle to listen to their one guide. The ruins are amazing and I highly recommend a visit. The history, design, wildlife, and tour guides are all 10/10. Once the tour was complete, we found our taxi driver (he stayed on site the entire time) and we headed back to the Port. He did offer to drop us off at the town of Mahahual at no extra cost which was a nice perk. Be aware that although advertised as included, this tour did not include snacks, alcoholic beverages, soda/pop, or bottled water. The driver did offer to stop at a few of the local shacks/convenience stores on the way to and from the ruins, but we opted not to do this. In conclusion, I would recommend this tour, but be aware that it is nothing more than cab transportation, admission to the ruins, and a private tour guide.
