Biking with rice. - Biking through the rice patties. It was easy to take a wonderful picture. People were friendly. The meal we had was great. Only negative was that my friend was charged $20 to ride the little tram because she couldn't bike. No where did it say she would have to pay extra. So be warned.

Beautiful views and clean air! - The food at the homestay was better than I expected. There was a vegan menu! The rice was really delicious! We went around the village by bicycle and hiked, and the scenery was even more beautiful than I had seen in the photos. The guide was a local, so he knew a lot about local life! It was a great time!

Lovely day trip to Mai chau with the best tour guide! - Mai chau was a super underrated experience. In the winter, the weather is much better here than Sapa, and it’s closer. This tour was also the best price available. Our tour guide Hana was very funny and we had an amazing time! I would love to take another tour with her. I think a one day tour is the perfect amount of time for this small village. There was an option to take a golf cart around Mai chau instead of a bicycle which I chose and it was very relaxing!

Loved the entire experience! - I booked it online so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, soon agency reached out about the pick up time and the trip went smoothly. Mai Chau is one of the best decisions I made during my trip in Vietnam. The village was stunning even during winter. Bike ride was pretty easy and enabled us to really get in touch with local people. Food during the trip was also great and most of all guide Hannah made the experience unforgettable. Very warm and kind. Always there to help. I truly recommend this tour.

Mai Chau One Day Trip - Me and a friend booked a spontanous trip to Mai Chau. Everything worked out perfect! The tour guide was really making an effort, the included food in the Ecolodge was super delicious and the bicycle tour through the beautiful countryside and the little villages in Mai Chau was great! The only negative thing to mention is being a little short on time - you could easily make it a two day trip, I think!

Beautiful cycle through Mai Chau - We had such a lovely time in Mai Chau! Our tour guide, Hannah, was super lovely and gave us lots of information on the lives of people in the mountains and on Vietnam in general. She even brought us some fruit to try from her mum! Mai Chau is beautiful and the cycle was lovely! One of my Vietnam highlights for sure! Tour was short so it did feel a little rushed towards the end, I can see why a lot of people recommend an overnight stay! But if you’re short on time you still get a great experience in one day. Cannot fault the tour company at all, I would use them again for other trips.

Would recommend an overnight trip or daily, spending more time there - Despite our late booking the agency included us in the trip to Mai Chau. However it was not exactly what we expected... We were supposed to spend half a day there, from 11:00 till 16:30, but we were picked up for our return to Hanoi 2 hours earlier. The location was really nice and there were a couple of activities to do there, so it's a pity we could not stay longer. I texted the agent about it but never replied back. We were not satisfied with the bus driver either, who was very nervous while driving, using the horn all the time, which made us feel very stressed. On the other hand, apart from the beautiful location, our guide Tuan counterbalanced our experience. He was very good, polite, always smiling, and willing to provide us with information. Moreover the food at the homestay was really tasty!

Bad company, tour much shorter than advertised - The itinerary is not as advertised : the departure time back from Mai Chau to Hanoi is 3pm instead of 4pm-4:30pm as advertised. I told the guide and he just didn’t care. I will request a refund. On top of this the pickup happened 30 minutes later than mentioned (despite being a Sunday morning, no traffic). Simply a bad company, with so many options in Hanoi better to go with another company.
